Good morning,
gosh this thread moved fast over the weekend. I'm usually absent over the weekend as I have limited internet access.
Spendy weekend. Food shopping, days out and clothes shopping for DD. Unfortunately, the days of her (4) wearing her brother's hand me downs are finally over. Luckily, she's happy with Asda clothing. Spend 40 quid on quite a few things that will get her over the summer and into autumn.
Got DH to clear out some clothes too and brought another rag bag into DS school today.
Spend for too much on food etc. So purse stays closed till we go camping next weekend. DH bought a cheap tent from ALDI and some extra sleeping bags as well as a stove. All under £100 together. Got some other camping items stashed from before kids, just had to replace those things as we donated our a few years back.
To do lists are up to date and realistic. Taking care of myself too by reading etc. Got a fair bit of gardening and crochet done this weekend. My head/mind is in a really good place just now. Also this weekend was the final straw and I gave up on ever getting DH to get up with the kids again. Long story short...it wastes more energy etc than I gain from it.......perfect example of picking my battles.......serenity to accept what I cannot change, courage to change the things I can & wisdom to know the difference.
Healthy lunch and snacks taken to work and will go to the gym during lunch hour too. Definitely making the most of taking my lunch to work as I can then cook and eat what the rest of my family maybe wouldn't. Plus I use this to experiment with various healthy new combinations as I want to not just eat for pleasure but also more for nourishment vice versa with out feeling I need to eat steamed kale all the time if that makes sense.
Mothernerd please just keep posting as you are, love it.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Your house and my house both!
DH has many talents, none of them involve kids and mornings.
He is utterly convinced the kids' sole reason for existance is to steal his sleep.
He gets up to go to work after we leave on the school run.
Kids + mornings = sad and grumpy man in our house.
I did charge him £5 per day per lie-in when they were small.
He was happy to pay.
Not a morning person I'm afraid, whereas I wake up ready to invade a small country and move furniture. :rotfl:4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Daily update from me -
Nsd 2
Found an old £10 note and took it to the bank, paid it in.
Sorted ds's sock drawer, and put the spares in a bag to go to mil's to see if we can make more pairs.
Friends rang to ask if I wanted to meet them for lunch, I refused, but did see them for a chat.
Kids are having hot dogs for tea, with left over bbq rolls, and me and dh are having curry from the left over chicken.
Had to put petrol in the car for work tomorrow, put in £30 as it's over 50 miles each way. I don't usually go this far, and I can/will claim it back in expenses!
I sorted my bedroom today, and decluttered my dressing table, which has been over flowing for far to long!
Also got a 5 mile run at 6pm with the running club, so that'll be my exercise sorted :j0 -
Quite a positive day today. A bit more cleaning and I've accepted that it's going to take a while to get this place straightened up. Still every little helps and I can see a bit of difference already. Washing is all up to date and hanging out to dry. I am only going to iron anything that really needs it and that's not much. Disposed of some underwear that is far too small and probably is made of material that isn't really comfortable even if - no when - I lose weight.
Had to pick up a few things to add to pork from freezer for dinner. Himself had yet another indescribable from the bottom drawer of the freezer.
Since I had to spend anyway got a few little things for the boy. Measuring jug, ice cube tray, chopping boards, etc. The things that you don't realise you need until you find you don't have them. He's doing really well. He's paid for all his furniture from his savings and used £££ of Amazon vouchers which he hasn't used from years of Christmas and Birthday presents to buy a vacum, microwave, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, etc. He's desperate to move in but sensible enough to take his time. His Dad is helping him to put things together (we can't trust Himself with tools). Think it could be a few more weeks yet but that's OK.
So, after dinner I'm going to relax with my book. Have a good evening everyone.xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Good evening all, what a beautiful day it has been today.
I have had a first NSD today of the ten I have planned.
I have eaten healthily so far today, strawberries, grapes, yogurt and flax seeds for breakfast, and egg salad for lunch.
I am grateful for the sunshine today and breathing lovely fresh air.
Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing evening. xxMFWB#2

Today I am grateful for a better night's sleep, for more marking, for getting stuff done at work, for finding some stocks for a friend's bday (the flowers, not the sort you throw rotten eggs at!), for some effective weeding, for chatting with a passing neighbour at the front, for being able to uproot the buxus that has got too big and unwieldy for where I planted it, for my boss not reprimanding me for a mistake I made at work, for dd having a good day back at school.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
