The SW cheesecake, though, won't be served to my friend tomorrow as she's vegetarian and the yoghurt isn't. A whole dish of syn-free cheesecake...for me

Such a shame and what a hardship for you Valli, to have to eat it all by yourself.

Good to see you posting again, ATB.

Three hours I spent this morning tidying, sorting, putting away, emptying the dishwasher, clearing up dog sick, sorting out the yard and putting all the excess gibble in the back alley, having a shower and washing my hair, pegging out two loads of laundry and putting a third on, and honestly, you wouldn't know anyone had done anything. Enough's enough for today.

I went on a guided history walk as well this morning, around the outside of The Royal Citadel which is pretty much on our doorstep. I've lived in this house for 25 years and it's a walk I used to do every day when Kelpie's legs were up to it and thought I knew. I learned so much more it blew me away, and the incredible thing is that the chaps that took it are amateur historians who do this kind of thing every week for free. Amazing. Big shout out for Walks with History in Plymouth, particularly Richard and Alan.
    Better is good enough.

Today, in DH's absence, I have
    - rubbed down and refilled the holes left when the big bookcases were taken down, ready for painting tomorrow
    - finished putting up 2 shelves, for which DS1 had already put up the brackets
    - put away all the toys
    - hoovered our bedroom, the study bedroom, stairs and guest bedroom
    - cleaned the bathroom and ensuite
    - S&S'd the kitchen
    - moved the piano (keyboard type) back to its place and played it for half an hour
    - done WMx3 and hung everything out
    - tumble dried sun-dried towels to soften them
    - FUPA everything that is bone dry
    - pulled out the forget-me-nots from the other 2 borders
    - mowed the lawn
    - planted out veg and bedding plants into patio pots
    - taken Rosie for an hour's walk
    - sent some emails
    - sat and watched TV for an hour

    Not bad!

Home tomorrow to face the music.. lol..

My mother will just need to have a go at me for not telling her we were getting married.. did I mention I didn't tell ANYONE!!?? Our reasons were vast and complex both for the marriage.. not the stupid 'but I love him' thing but for the security it currently offers should one of us croak... and the name thing and the girls etc.. I have been saying for years if I was to get married I wouldn't tell anyone because I would not be able to invite everyone or have everyone there mainly because of money but also because the logistics are insane.. the offsprung are the only ones I am interested in but I couldn't have them all and if they weren't all coming noone else was. We also had the issue of as soon as you tell people the event is taken out of your control.. Anyway... my sister, [who wouldn't have got an invite anyway because I would only have had the children if I was having anyone else] (tbh I really wish we hadn't had the 4 small ones, 3 of them were horribly behaved) decided to single handedly try to ruin my day.. in the end I told her it was done and she could lump it and accept that I wouldn't have invited anyone anyway even if I had told them, and I would support her decisions in life regardless of my feelings because it is my job to support her and be there for her.. so long as she is happy I don't care what she does.

SIL is a certified nutjob.. honestly.. if I had to live with her, she'd be dead.. I have told her this.. and I also told her she should say buzzards to everyone else and do the things in life that make HER happy and by finding her own happiness then she could try helping others find their happiness... at the moment she is spreading misery. I really have no time for drama.

And the best thing ever.. tomorrow night I get to snooze in my own sweet nest... school on Monday and OH has decided he has nothing to go in to college for so he is mine all day <3 ..

I need to do the surname change things for the girls and then a few bits of mine.. must photograph the marriage certificate! I'm not changing my FB name.. I'm still a Cuppatti!! lol

Morning all. I don't have any dogs here at the moment so thought I'd have a lie in. Up at 7! Since DD moved to a house where they can have pets, it's becoming more of a dog share situation. They can't really have a dog of their own as they both work long hours and it wouldn't be fair, but they're borrowing mine whenever they can. LittleyDog and Poppet love it but it's very strange here without them.

Yesterday, I ended up in a CBA situation so nothing really got done. I'm about to water the plants in the greenhouse, then make myself human, maybe some gardening, then I'm off to a village event for the afternoon.

    Have a great day everyone.

Neighbour invited for a very late breakfast, laundry shuffled, things tidied a bit and now for a bit of sewing. Goody.

  • Dealt with an unpleasant message from somebody I went to school with last night. I was uncharacteristically sweary about it and invited anybody who agreed with him (as he claimed they all did) to p off. So far, one whole person has apparently done just that. And I don't even know who it is, they're that important to me. Oh, dear, I'm so heartbroken.

Woke up bang on the dot again. Why does this not happen when I actually have to go to work?

Sat in the shade on the back doorstep with a coffee - birdsong and the scent of all my roses drifting over me as all the various bees made the most of the weedpatch. It was really nice right up until the rest of the neighbours woke up, so spent twenty minutes chopping the Fat Hen down as it was over five foot tall, whilst leaving everything else, and then dived back inside once the various spluttering coughs, squeals and thuds of the local population started up in earnest.

Done the washing up and cleaned all the countertops, scoffed some crumpets, will need to bung on a tiny washload, make the bed and chuck some water over the windowboxes, plus possibly scoot over the upstairs bathroom, but other than that, I've not got a lot to do. If you exclude dealing with the dry washing .

Himself should be back some time tomorrow. The photos I've seen seem to show him enjoying himself in an 'I'm relaxing and smiling lots on holiday' manner. Hmmmm. I wonder what photos of me would look like if I'd had the chance to do something like that?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Afternoon all. My guag came back this morning so I

    Changed the bedding
Hoovered and swept through the house
    Bleached all the sinks
    Dusted the living room
    Put recycling and rubbish out
Watered plants and sorted vases of flowers
    Had a pamper session
Dropped some plants off to a friend

And I've enjoyed a big lunch event in the village. The dogs are now home but are worn out so I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening.

See you all tomorrow on the new thread.
