Froggie minutes done, froggie letters written, money spreadsheets up to date. Big sigh of relief.
    Better is good enough.

    Well done Honey Bear.

Watching TOTP1977. Happy reminiscences - and tears of sadness. The Jam will be on in a bit and that will finish me.

In other news *almost* all today's washing has been ironed. The SW cheesecake, though, won't be served to my friend tomorrow as she's vegetarian and the yoghurt isn't. A whole dish of syn-free cheesecake...for me

eta FORTY-ONE YEARS AGO! HOW? No wonder Rod Stewart looks so young!

  • Pottered about doing not very much of anything today - bought a few plants for the windowboxes and did those at 6pm and shovelled down chargrilled artichokes, olives, tomatoes and bresaola for food. And very nice it was too - I've also treated myself to some cantaloupe melon for a sweet snack; just hoping that I don't find myself starving at 3am as a result.

Slightly bothered [strike]horrified[/strike] at the black circles under my eyes even though I've had *some* sleep. They are awful and nothing seems to hide them adequately other than a pair of sunglasses. Might have been booked for some summer fundraiser thing in a couple of weeks and at the moment, I'd probably attract more donations than the charity, I look so ropey.

So I'm tossing up whether to go and buy more plants, go to another fundraiser tomorrow or try and find some dayglo polyfilla to stop me scaring small children. Or just buying lots of food and eating everything. Decisions, eh?

Anyhow, the bath is ready and I'm heading there in a minute.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.

Mainly dog walking and gardening for me today but I do need to sort out the shed. It's not messy but I need to rearrange things to store a very large box.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning All,

Trying to regain a bit of normality to life, and what better way to start than posting here amongst friends. So far today the children have had breakfast and I have unloaded the DW.

Life has been so wildly out of control these past few weeks, which I hate, so I have set myself some challenges to focus the mind. I have a grocery challenge budget of £250 for June, and want to have paid off our credit card by the end of July. It's 0%, but still bothers me, and will be one less thing to think about once it's gone.

I must do some laundry today, and mop the bathroom floors. Penultimate day of half term hols; we shan't be going anywhere, just pottering at home.

    Have lovely days all xx

The shed is still untouched but I've had a lovely walk with the dogs. In the rain. We don't usually 'do' rain but as it's so warm it was really quite refreshing.

DD and her fiance here now - wedding planning ahead of meeting later with venue - I'm keeping out of their way.

    Washing up next.

Super-hoovered this morning - hasn't been the greatest flying week but the house somehow feels a tiny bit clearer/cleaner/less cluttered :) Have to focus on some work for a few days, but once that's done it will be back to flying and decluttering again.:A

ATB I'll send some "back-to-normality" vibes your way. Hang in there hun, this too shall pass. x

WM load of my clothes done (shamefully admitting I'm reduced to wearing the "ancient and venerable" bras cos all the others are in the wash).

Also done Mr LW's new black t-shirt that he bough in Ireland - I like to do them separate for the first few washes, in case they run.

Purple dress also being done separately as it runs better than Usain Bolt, despite having been washed numerous times.

Waiting for Honey to arrive. Sometime between 12:00 and 12:30, we were told. :o

Lovely to see you back posting, ATB xx. Lots of coping hugs coming your way.

I did a couple of hours pottering at the allotment this morning. If everything grows, I will look like a courgette by September. Whoops. I'm now on DD taxi duty for the afternoon, so it will be lots of magazines and old reading matter to keep me occupied. Hopefully at the end of that there will be some for recycling and some for passing on to my sister. Either way, they will leave the living room. Result.

Have a lovely time with Honey, LW.

Done my 2nd Park run. 25 seconds slower than my 1st but it is very humid so I'm not unhappy with that, hardly anyone did a pb today. After my 1st run, I set a new target to do 3 more by Sept with a hope to improve my time.

Just been up to do church flowers and hoovering.
    Garden next. Or lunch!
