Just can't get my a**e in gear at the mo and I was doing so well. New week tomorrow though, so I may give myself a talking to tonight!
Congrats to all those who are losing though!

Me too! Put on 1 lb this week - I really seem uninspired at the moment. It was my birthday last week, and we are now getting in to the Xmas "do's" now. I have a Xmas lunch today and another one on Saturday night and I think another one next Tuesday. I don't normally get invites to go out and now I hae had 3 invites so I don't want to turn them down in case I don't get invited again!:o
We have had to pre-order the meals so I have requested turkey at all 2 so will try and limit the damage. Watch this space !

Very quick one (said the actress to the bishop) I havent fallen off the wagon, but put on 2lb this weekjeans still lose, so not sure, though as I think I have mentioned before I do weigh myself on Monday after rugby and always have put on weight sometimes 3 or 4lbs just from playing rugby, the odd weekend I dont play I dont put on weight, so maybe, just maybe its some muscle
Anyway big moan time, Boots have a lovely new scales installed, it weighs, it measures yours height and body fat and calculates yours BMI The problem??? It speaks to you, so the whole shop knows your on the scales!! !! and the price is up from 30p to 50p or 70p if you want the body fat measurement!!!
Well done Pixiedust, Beanielou and Grannynise hugs to the gainers, well done to the maintainers
Bootswise, MrsSuggs, but a new pair on Monday, the old ones were losing their sole! anyways Black Leather, knee length, tassle on the back, slightly lower heel (for winter) and inside zipfrom Lilley&Skinner

Me too - the scales say I have gained 1lb this week, but I haven't been naughty - it is just a readjustment from going down 3.5 lbs last week which was probably not quite right! My scales vary so much during the week it is so hard to get an accurate reading which reflects the weekly 'preformance' but I guess I have learnt to be patient and accept the general downwards trend.
I am also allowing myself to relax a bit on my strictness with myself. i just hope that it is not the beginning of the end! I usually get so close to my target and then stop before the final hurdle, which i really don't want to do this time. I will be strong.0 -
Morning all
Well done Beanielou on reaching the two stone mark - bet it makes you feel great. Can I also add your sketchers sound great. I love tartan on anything. We had a "strip for Scotland" day at work the other week (the day before Scotland played Italy) when we all had to wear a Scotland footall strip or something tartan. I managed to squeeze into my son's Scotland strip (but kept a cardie on all day to hide my wobbly bits) but we one of the Engineers came in with his kilt on and I must say he looked really smart.
Suggs - hope the exam goes well - we're all thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts. Re the Boots Scales - that is the type we have here too. I find it totally embarassing. The first shop I used wasn't too bad as the scales were in the basement of a stairwell which no-one really uses as they use the escalator but when that one was out of order I used the one in another store and it is right at the pharmacy and I feel as though everyone is looking at me. To make things worse - I always feel I should wear the same clothes when I get weighed as that way they will always weigh the same but now that I have lost some weight the trousers are really too big for me. When the scale tells me to "stand straight with your head upright" I start imagining nightmare scenarios of me trying to stand upright, and as I do so all the wobbly bits aren't quite so wobbly and my trousers falling down as they really are too big. I should buy some new ones and get the thought out of my head that they will be heavier/lighter and it won't be a true weight because they are not the ones I have always worn.
KPC - Oh - was it you that bought new boots - I wondered who it was!!:rotfl: . The look stunning (as do the shoes). No wonder you were so pleased with them.
BB - Thanks again for being Secret Santa's Little Helper - £6 sounds fine to me (but if others would prefer a little less then I am happy to along with the majority)
Marion - Enjoy your nights out. You sound as though you have made the right choice so I'm sure the damage won't be too bad - but as long as you have fun - you can always start day 1 the next day.
What is all this talk about dried frog pills, etc - I've never even heard of discworld. Am I missing out on something good?
Well done to all losers and maintainers and big hugs to anyone who has put on.
Sorry if I have missed anyone out - didn't mean to but thinking of you all the same0 -
Well done pixiedust, beanielou and gs:j :j :j
suggs good luck with your exams today
I got some boots on friday, brown tan leather from Clarks, they were originally on my xmas list for £70/£90 couldn;t decide between two pairs but then when I went to try them on they did not have my size and the lady from Clarks brought out last years stock , all that was different was the way the front stitching was decorated, tried them on, fitted lovely, she wentto scan them and because they were last year's stock they came up as ...£29.99:j :j bought them then and there, couldn't have paid for them fast enough, that price for high clark boots, bonus, took them off my xmas list and money in pocket:D Oh I can spot a bargain a mile off:rotfl: :rotfl:
In 20 mins off to the docs, did not sleep much last night, knee swallon to the size of a melon:rotfl: pain indiscribable so want the doc to see it, see if it is the tablets, never had a swallon knee before,1st thing for everything:rotfl: so much so that today, wait for it, I am wearing a skirt:rotfl: can't get my trousers on overthe knee.
Only going to the docs and back so will not be able to go to boots and get weighed for the chart, put me down as sts please if it is not when I do go I will tell you straight away but feels the same:D
Someone said about boots being different heights, I get that all the time, difference of 2.5 inches sometimes:rotfl: and when they are not calibrated a difference of 8 lb from the morning to the same evening:rotfl:
SUGGS yours is just water retention:rotfl: I rarely do the fat for 70p because I resent payingthat much, remember the smart card though it takes a bit of money off each time you get weighed and keeps a 10 weight record.
I have been to two boots scales on the same day because I was out shopping and on both the readings were different, my height was different and my BMI also, sometimes boots scales make you scream!!!0 -
Oh Victory - Sorry to hear you are still in so much pain. Hopefully the doctor will be able to shed some light or change your medication so you are feeling better soon. Good news on the boots though - I always love it when I get a bargain.0

Hi all
Well done to all the losers and maintainers, and I hope any gains are inspiring for next week! It's all about the long term trend (I should know). Special well done to Beanielou for reaching the 2 stone mark, fantastic!:T
Good luck with the exam later Suggs, hope it goes okay and all your hard work pays off. Don't worry about the small gain, you know that you can lose much bigger amounts in a short space of time and maintaining is all about small fluctuations, it doesn't mean you're putting weight back on. And all that rugby and gym work will definitely be adding muscle - ooh, feel those quads!
Victory, that knee sounds nasty, hope the doc can help with it.
Efrieze, how far is it to your final goal? If relaxing a little feels like the right thing to do then go for it, if the last bit takes a little longer to come off it's not the end of the world. If you feel yourself slipping over the next few weeks then reign it in a little again if you want to get to goal. Maybe you're happy with where you are now? Goals can always be 'held lightly', they're not a must.
I've got a 1lb loss this week, so that's 4 pounds overall this month. Still yet to meet the monthly challenge but getting there. Can I ask, how is the challenge running this month? Can it continue if possible please? It does help to motivate me.
Feeling pretty frustrated this morning - just got back from work which was fine, a little dull if I'm honest, but the real reason for my mood is benefits. I am desperately trying to go back to work in a slow and sustainable way (so I don't fall over again) and yet instead of welcoming that, the system is penalising me! It's all very complicated but in a nutshell, I can do approx. 4 hours work a week then I lose all my benefits and am not entitled to further help until I can manage 16 hours a week (which in teaching is a lot more than 16 hours, if you see what I mean). How am I meant to support myself inbetween?Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate that I live in a country where there is a benefits system but I can't help feeling that it's no wonder so many people stay on it for so long when somene like me who is highly motivated to get back to work is 'trapped'. Apologies, rant over!:o
Good luck to all those yet to weigh in. Thanks in advance for the chart Delly xx
