I had a lovely time out for the rememberance sunday but never ate the curry as it was lamb and we do not eat lamb, H tried to but he said it was greasy and very hot, fortunately my son was offered lasagna instead so he quickly devoured that (had I cooked it for him he would have turned his nose up:rolleyes: ) so all I had was two coke zeros so well chuffed with myself, hey check me out able to be around food and say no thank you....well, it was even easier as I do not eat lamb but even so:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well done beanie0 -
That's great Beanie :T and not sad at all! We all have our own little goals which are real successes for us - one of mine was when I could walk up our stairs again.
Talking of goals, I have been thinking about it for a while and I have decided that I am going to do the Race for Life again. I'm planning on walking this time (unless I make a bigger recovery - I'll be sensible BB!) and it's not until the beginning of June, just before my birthday in fact. Anyone fancy joining me, not necessarily in Bath but at your own local event? Just a thought.
Victory, well done for not resorting to bar snacks or anything, hope you had something lovely when you got home, you must've been starving! I've been dreaming of curry all day but have (almost) decided to wait til Wednesday night and have asparagus risotto tonight. I've just made a healthy plum crumble too, yum!
Damn, was just about to head off and meet up with OH for a lovely swim and sauna but just found out it shuts at 6.30 (OH has been at shiatsu all day)! Oh well, another time I guess. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

quote=dellybelly;6751364]Hi everyone,
Here's the chart for this week.
Well done to Rachelja and Raphael who are joint slimmers of the week. Yes, I know that Rachel lost more weight than Raphael, but that was over 2 weeks. Raphael's is the best loss in a single week - and only 0.4lbs away from this month's challenge already - well done:j
Well done to this weeks losers and maintainers, comiserations to anyone who's gained.
If I've any mistakes, please let me know and I'll get them fixed for next weeks' chart.

Bails I love your posts, you always speak so much sense! I have kept food and exercise diaries since day one, so I understand all my patterns quite well. I am definitely one of those people who, if it isn't working, doubles their effort! I have taken on board all your comments, thank you so much for taking the time with that response.
Good luck!!! with Race for Life! Oh, too bad about the swim and sauna, what a pain. Wouldn't it be great to have a private pool and sauna at home.. mmm.....
Victory - congrats on the fab shopping experience! So happy for you!
Agree about the celebs, far too much pressure to look good constantly. For some of them it must be almost a 24hour/day job looking after their appearance...0 -
hi all, would have been here sooner but i;'ve been in the bath all weekend. I have hot water! bliss! Been a bad weekend for food as my dad turned the puppy dog eyes on me sat lunch and asked for fish and chips. Mum is dabetic so he never gets fish and chips. So been a bit naughty from there on in. But have been good and used up tons of calories by going in the remembrance day parade ( i'm an active legion member) and by going on a major cleaning jag scrubbing out the damp kitchen cupboards. And managed to not humiliate myself by howling my eyes out at the war memorial like i usually do. So all in all, a great weekend, even if it is day one tomorrow. Bails, that bath milk is delicious! What is it please?
Still giggling at Sugg's single entendre joke. And all the kitten stuff. OH calls KFC, UFK. Unlucky Fried Kitten.0 -
[quote=missyg;6786216]Brighton belle & Bails thanks for the advice about 'panic mode'. This has occurred to me too, I'm not sure how to handle it though because if I eat more and/or exercise less I will gain weight. I have been steadily reducing calories as the weight has been coming off, and this is where I am now.
Thanks for your honest response Missyg. I thought bails follow up answer was pretty good too and I haven't got a lot to add other than agreement and support for you and anyone else through this difficult process. Is there any reason why your heart is set on size 8: is this a size you have been before and have positive associations with? You already have a very healthy bmi measurement. If it becomes an endless struggle at this stage, would it feel very difficult to choose to be a 10 instead and have a little more freedom?
Most importantly -how did you get on with coat shopping?:D
Hey, beanie: excellent result. Really chuffed for you. I think we all realise this is a huge milestone for you.
Ooh, bails, the race for life: yeah, I trust you to be sensible:D . Tempting, but er...how far is it?
Raphael: sorry you've not been too well. It was lovely to hear you say the other day how much difference this forum had made. You may put on a little, but your progress so far shows you will get back on track as soon as you feel better
Georgiebrown: you are very welcome: are you going to follow a particular plan or healthy eating/portioncontrol. Keep posting and become one of the gang here:T
Brilliant to think of kpc dancing naked round the house:D . Proper day one tomorrow girlie with no more miserable cold holding you back
time for bed,
bb
xI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Woo hoo, KPC's finally clean and warm, lol! So happy for you that it's finally fixed, that would definitely have tested a saint's patience! Don't worry too much about the food, the main thing is you had a good weekend overall and are preparing for Day 1 tomorrow. The bath milk is Weleda Citrus Refreshing Bath Milk, I'm so glad you liked it.
Thanks Missyg, I'm glad you found the post useful.
BB, the Race for Life is 5k, is that too far? To be honest, I don't know if it'll be too far for me but going to see how I get on over the coming months.
Welcome georgiebrown! Delly will add you to the challenge, she's running the chart at the mo. How would you like to tackle your weight loss? Stick with us and we'll definitely be able to help you along the way.
My good day has gone downhill with the news that the Dementor is now coming to stay next Friday  This is our only free weekend to spend together since India and before Christmas so her timing is sh!te as ever. Really can't be a**ed with the stress, tempted to just run away for the night...
Anyway, all still good on the food front so fingers crossed for WednesdayThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

ideally i would like to lose 2lb a week
which would be nearly a stone for christmas.
Next year i am going to Dom Rep with all my family and friends so would love to get down at least two dress sizes:eek:0 -
Morning peeps!
Off to my relaxation class in a minute, haven't been for a couple of weeks because of work (I love saying that!) so really looking forward to it.
Just wanted to wish everyone good luck with this week's weigh in. Fingers crossed!
Georgiebrown, those sound like reasonable targets, how are you going to tackle the weight loss? Some on here are doing Weight Watchers or Slimming World, either by going to class or online, others are going it alone. Have you tried anything before? Ask us any questions you like and we'll be happy to help you get started. The chart is every Wednesday but everyone weighs on different days and then Delly posts them all on the Wednesday. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
