No, you're not the only on KPC. I was planning 5 minutes ironing, then 10 minutes here but as you all seem to be asleep or otherwise engaged .... back to the ironing. (I usually avoid it completely but as I've just given the ironing lady a fulltime job at school I now have to do it myself or go to work wrinkly in clothes as well as face. And I'm guessing there are people out there saying tough !!!!!! ... but I reckon that if I earn money I should recylce some of it to a good cause)

Hope you enjoyed your lay in Delly

I'm here now too. Still really quiet though. I came on to look for a good pork chop type recipe. I am doing the SW pork with mustard topping, sounds scrummy. I have decided that although DH needs to gain weight not lose it he too needs reining in to my healthy eating regime, so no fat on his chop either today. I am sure the birds will enjoy it!!
grannynise, since I gave up teaching I have also given up ironing anything. If someone in this house needs something ironed they can do it. I am now buying clothes that don't need ironing. DH can do his own too.

dellybelly, You just reminded me how much mess littlies (and parents) can make, mine are now 17 and up but can still make an almighty mess.

Thanks grannynise I had a lovely lie in.;) DS went to bed for his nap at around 12.30 and I had a blissful few hours of hanging about doing nothing. OH got up and tidied up whilst I got dressed. I have to confess, I usually don't get dressed at the weekend until lunchtime. I figure I work hard from Mon-Friday, the weekend is nominated as "pyjama days" DS loves them.:D

poohbear I believe, it's actually the grown ups who make the mess. The children were happy to play outside in the garden but the adults who had to come along with the littlies had tea and sandwiches and cake and stuff and then let all the kids play with any of Joel's toys that they wanted to without making them first put away the other stuff they were finished with.

It's UNREAL how many gifts he got. I had to clear a toybox out of cuddly toys (he doesn't like them) to bring it downstairs to clear up my house. I've now split his toys into 4 - cuddly toys he doesn't like, baby toys he no longer plays with (both to be put away). Toys he doesn't play with very often (to be put in his room) and toys he loves (to stay downstairs).... crazy isn't it? Out if it all, his favourite toys - the ones he goes back to most often is a £2 colouring book and a £1 box of crayons.:rotfl: He just loves to draw and colour!

I have to admit that growing up with 4 brothers may have been tough but they and my friends are very generous to DS. I'm putting off cleaning up properly until DS goes into creche tomorrow morning when I can get peace to do it properly. I'll live with the mess until then!
