I wish I needed size 8 trousers -- That'd about do one leg. :rotfl: :rotfl:

My size 20 clthes are now too big and so are some of the size 18. I'm not keen to buy anything that just about fits now as I hope it would soon become too large. It's a dilemna, but a good one.

But I have visions of standing at the front in assembly, moving around a bit :j like that and losing my trousers. The children would love it, not. It ouwldn't be a pretty sight.

Thanks, I'll include Dotty P's on my next trip to town. Their stuff used to suit me well but I've had less joy with them in the past few years. I'll let you know how I get on!

At least the rest of today has been productive, Christmas shopping is virtually finished, hurray :D

    jenpoptab - 0.5lb isn't a disaster, good luck next week :)

suggs - I am salivating thinking of chicken spicy wings and chips in a basket!

Haha grannynise! Sounds like you will need some more clothes soon. I keep having to hoik my jeans up at the moment. They are supposed to go up to the waist but they kind of sit on my hips and I feel like the crotch is halfway down my thighs most of the time :rotfl:

Before anyone says it, I do have belts but i hate that feeling of wearing a belt and having the waist of the trousers all scrunched up or it just hanging on by the belt loops while the trousers obey the laws of gravity :p
  • hee hee, bails is going to have a ball running through all these names. I know someone wit ha kitten called Albus and someone else has one called Adolf. What about Plato? my friend had a cat called that and I really liked it. One of my japanese exchange students once told me she had a cat called pyacat after a character in a horror film. Turned out to be Pyawacket which is the name of the familiar form the 1950s comedy Bell, Book and Candle. Think about your favourite books or tv characters. My OH is determined to own a pair of bassett hounds who will be called Renfield and Harker after the solicitors in Dracula.

Had a sneaky jump on the scales this morning and things are going well so thats some extra incentive to stay good this weekend. Been put off going clothes shopping though - that whole different sizes thing is really annoying but i can see the satisfaction to be had whe nyou get the perfect ones. Good luck in the search!

Beanielou, glad to hear the trike is such a roaring success!

So big day one for me, still I have the joys of Meatloaf, the singer not the food, tonight with Mrs Suggs :)

    Hi Suggs,

Hope you enjoy the concert tonight and it goes ahead okay. I remember seeing a thread yesterday on the "Vent" Board about him cutting his show short on Wednesday night due to illness. Hopefully he is fully recovered and you get a good show.

We went a few weeks ago to see Deadringer from Hell which was a "musical" based on Meatloaf's songs and if it ever comes to a theatre near you and you like Meatloaf songs you should try and go - it was excellent. They guy really sounded quite like the real thing and it was all the classics that he sang so everyone knew them and were singing along.

    Have great time.

victory - i'm only pretending to be a size 8 right now, I can get away with it (bottom half only) in a couple of stores but I'm not a true size 8! Mind you eight months ago I would have laughed my head off if someone said I would get into a size 8 anything by the end of the year!

I would say to anyone whatever your goals are, stick with them! Everyone on here will know it's not easy but all the denial, all the hard work is SO worth it when you fit into that size you never dreamed of - or when you say to the sales assistant "could you please get me a smaller size?" :D

katiepoppycat - oops didn't mean to put anyone off clothes shopping! I'm not moaning or complaining. I'm actually having fun with it! Glad things are going well for you too :D

  • Suggs, I heard on the local news that the show was cancelled - hope it was just hear say.
Big thanks to Petrichor and efrieze for adding me on to the list for the November challenge.

I am starting to be a good food optimiser! I went to class last night and have lost another 2.5 lbs so thats 6.5lbs altogether in 3 weeks. I am v. pleased to say the least, hubby can't quite believe how heavy I was after the first group weigh in but I told him it doesn't matter because I will never be it again!

Your swap boxes sound wonderful, hopefully i can join in next time.

well done to all losers and maintainers and gentle kicks for those who feel they need one!

Not hearsay I am afraid to say, we got there at 7.30 and it was cancelled, evidently it will now be on November 29th. From speaking to the security guard, he cancelled around 6-6.30

More annoyed cause of the traffic, M6 south was closed, which caused problems for the northbound traffic, it doubled the length of my journey and also meant a longer than usual journey home, hence only just getting in now.

    Never mind
