I have been reading this thread for a long time now and feel so envious of all of you who keep on losing every week and I just think of doing something to shift the extra 3stones but never stick to doing anything about it. Hopefully your lovely company will keep me motivated, so Can I please join the November Challenge as well?

Stop stressing efrieze it has survived the postie strike and its here!!!!
    lets open it.....

    Oooooohhhh....Tres fantastic....

a compact mirror and a uber sparkly hairbrush with top tip #1 (and I shall directly quote efrieze here)

"I think you should keep and eye on your appearance even more whilst losing weight- for what are we doing it for other than to look our best. And I guess there is no point looking thin and not seeing it yourself every so often! Also, have them in your bag so if you are out and about and tempted to be naughty, have a look in the mirror and give yourself a good talking to, to stay on the straight and narrow"

What a fantastic bit of advice and so relevant to me as I have never been one to take much pride in my appearance (always wondered what the point was when you think all people see is the blob) very easy to forget about the details and then feel even dowdier because of it...

a selection of fruit based snacks to keep me going (including some delicious fruit crisps which I have already half gobbled...must locate a recipe to see if they can be made at home....mmmmmmm....)

A beer based shampoo to give my hair a boost (much need at the moment I think the stress of my thesis took its toll as it hasn't been the same for the last few months)

A health magazine that I have always looked at in the shops but never bought....and to be honest my favorite type...not completely centered around dieting but encompassing nutrition and exercise. I shall be reading this tomorrow morning whilst I await mr tesco....

Season all to make my cooking taste fab (sometimes It does need something to help it along...might use it on my roast potatoes on Sunday....

Sea Kelp supplements (good source of iodine!) which is also rumored to increase metabolism...efrieze I agree with you here...its totally natural so it can't hurt to try it!!

Thanks you so much for my swap box! and KPC thankyou for organising it...It has been such amazing fun and I just love getting a suprise in the post!!!

Ha ha, glad you enjoyed your box so much Serendisglair, seems like we've all had a great time with it!

I like the idea of trying to take more pride in your appearance - I too never bother (when I post my 'before' photos you'll see what I mean!) and I am just starting to try a little more.

Sorry no time to chat more but we're just loading up the car as we're off to the Welsh hills!!:j:T I can't wait! Hopefully I'll get a long walk in - I'm going to try for about 2 hours and see how I get on, fingers crossed! This is the place where I used to train for my ML (mountain leader) so although I won't be stomping like I used to, it'll be amazing to be out there. It's also the place I holed myself up for 3 weeks when I was very poorly so it'll be great to see how far I've come since then. OOH, I'm so excited!!!!!

Just to say, we saw the kitten yesterday and we're getting him so thinking caps on for names please! He's almost completely black with two little white patches on his belly...and seems quite playful. On the list so far - Spook (as it was Halloween), Merlin, Odin (!) and Ted, which is what he's called at mo. OH would like a mystical name... I think we will wait to see his personality but a prize to the best answer!

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you're up to xxx

    welcome tiby:D

I have just seen advertised that next week on wednesday the diet doctors are back, love the show, when they get up close to the awful looking tongues and spots or skin complaints, put the person a strict diet and then go back and assess the photos when it is completed, brilliant tele but then again I am hooked to x-weighted, biggest loosers USA/AUSTRALIA, fat doctors, all those shows I watch:D

bails I thought panda but then you said mystical so the next name that popped into my tiny little head was majestic as in magical but majestic(I know what I mean!!)two of the cats around here are whiskas (original!) and monty (no idea why!) my son has a pet teddy cat who he calls fluffy, the white one that is one the estate is called snow, there was a black one called ash...

Morning all - hope everyone is well.

I'm off to the Lake District for the weekend (work unfortunately!) and I won't be able to log on, so I hope you all have a very enjoyable but virtuous weekend. Mine is going to be an obstacle course of temptation, with meals out, and a buffet lunch tomorrow, but I'll try to go for sensible options and as I'm driving, alcohol will be limited.

    Have a great weekend.

    Morning all

Back after a two day "Think like a customer" course which was ok ish, except for the jelly beans, the boxes of quality street that were passed around. The evening event of ten pin bowling (scored 87 and 98 rubbish as always :) ), with chicken spicy wings and chips in a basket.

So big day one for me, still I have the joys of Meatloaf, the singer not the food, tonight with Mrs Suggs :)

Havent finished reading the last couple of days worth of posts but the swap boxes looked like a great success, just wish I had played now :)

Right off to the gym with me, still up from last week and Cairo let alone the two day course!!
