Hi ES , glad you had a nice weekend , on the laundry front , do you have a dehumidifier, I find this makes a huge difference to how quickly heavier things dry . Would swapping to a liquid detergent help then if your only doing a small wash you could adjust accordingly. Hopefully MC is making progress behind the scenes . I was thinking the money might be for a flat deposit but probably he would have mentioned that . Take care xx0

I do have a dehumidifer and have used it for this purpose before so maybe time to re instate it.Newstartforme said:Hi ES , glad you had a nice weekend , on the laundry front , do you have a dehumidifier, I find this makes a huge difference to how quickly heavier things dry . I use tabs as I usually buy them when they are on special - I think I am just putting too small a wash on , will have to adjust and see if it makes a difference to my energy bills too. Makes more sense to let it mount up a bit but i do like an empty basket !!!!
I think there is more chance of a lottery win then the money being for a flat deposit - I don't actually think anything has changed /progressed0 -
It's your relationship @efes_shareholder and please tell me to mind my own business. Do you think NM is hoping you'll change your mind and that the current situation can carry on indefinitely? Humdinger xx0

Very similar story here , bit obsessed with not letting laundry pile up and have wondered at the extra costs , you've given me the kick to stop putting washing machine on unnecessary, even more important as now using dehumidifier as well . Hopefully with MC he is sorting tax with a view to his future plans xxefes_shareholder said:

He hasn't expressed that but it could be the case , I won't be changing my mind. NM Ex wife still resides in the marital home which he pays the mortgage on ( although its pence now , wish mine was !!) so the MC will not be homeless and can go to his own mumsy however he will be in london and he wont find parking his vehicle so close to the property easy.Humdinger1 said:It's your relationship @efes_shareholder and please tell me to mind my own business. Its funny as last week when we were away at my dads I was very relaxed and only became moody when we got home and I saw toilet rolls had been left empty when used , washing up stacked up instead of put away , washing done last minute so all racks were taken and man hair all round the plug hole of the shower and had a reality check.
I used the words "back to reality" as I kopped the hump.
We have been away this weekend and again I've been really chill , in fact NM said to me " you are really chilled out when we are away , you dont get triggered like you do at home"
Well there is a clue there ......................he can hope I may change my mind but I'm 99.99% certain that I won't be doing so and if I did I dont think NM would welcome the mood swings !!!!!!!!

it was only the realisation that I had gone through a xl bag of pods in record time that made me look at it - I am sure I only used to do 2-3 washes a week and now its 4-5 and I don't do MC'sNewstartforme said:

I've finished cleaning all my floors and I've put the clothes rack upstairs in the spare room with the dehumidifer as it also makes my kitchen look tidier !!! I think it may stay locked in there out of sight for the winter0 -
so at last we can see the weekend
Dinner last night - Curry chicken carribean style with some cabbage and rice. Still keeping up the juicing although the ninja kept jamming and I over powered the shots with ginger , my pain is still present but my skin is absolutely clearer and I feel less bloated.
Booked my flights for next years summer hols , they are on the 0% , again I have the money but I feel like if I am disaplined with the approach of suing the 0% card I still keep my savings.
NM has also been approached to work a new event overseas the week before our usual holiday , he will be paid for to go however I will need to cover my flight and some spends if I go , potentially he also has the same event that he worked this year. a month or so before - If I do all 3 it takes up an awful amount of my annual leave so I don't think that I will , I do need to think about which I will do though. I did not enjoy this years event even though it is in a resort I absolutely love , I am also going there for my holiday so this is probably the one I will drop.
MC came in very upset late last night , he had been to visit his mum who expressed that she felt he had been unreasonable reporting the ex for a recent trip she took the kids abroad for without seeking his permission. I do get that as I felt it was potentially petty and like his mum thought how nice the kids get a holiday however as he is on the birth cert it is technically child abduction and another example of her disregarding him as a parent. It transpires that his mum has been visiting and spending time with the kids and not thought to tell him , instead its come across in an argument - he is extremely hurt by it , not because she is spending time with them and he isnt but because she could have given him some reassurance the kids are ok , , sent recent pics etc and instead she has decided to keep the visits private. Previously his mum had been drafted in to try and liase with the kids mum but had been ignored but maybe that wasn't the case - anyway I do get that he feels betrayed although it is not my position I don't feel to express any opinion on her actions.
MC said he wanted nothing more to do with his mum which is a worry as from where I am sat that is the only viable option for him for housing . I did send NM to speak to him after he went upstairs but as yet we have not discussed the conversation.
woke up by 4.30 this morning after a troubling dream and decided to just get up - was in the gym for opening at 6am and managed to do 3.2km on the treadmill (2 miles) and a few resistance exercises for my arms,
Wish I felt energised for it but I don't - NM wants to go again after work , hopefully I'll be feeling the same.
Easy dinner tonight , Jacket spuds with Tuna , sweetcorn , red onion mayo mix and a load of salad - gotta get it used up before it turns.
£15 win on my first month playing the postcode lottery - happy with that. Not something I have considered playing before but then I thought about how I would feel if the whole street won and I wasn't one of them so decided to dive in .

Well done on the early start and post code lottery win ! Good thinking not to use up too much annual leave on trips if possible, I always like to keep a few days if possible. That's really not good that MC falling out with mum but he may see it differently today , he may see that mum was trying to help him in a round about way . Hope you have a lovely weekend x0

so a nice restful weekend - well , more restful then usual but a nice balance of work and play.
boiler service saturday morning £70 but according to the engineer one of the best examples of a well looked after boiler he has seen and it shouldnt give me any problems.
then gym , a few hours chill and then a quick wetherspoons and a theatre show with our friends.
Achieved a sunday lay in - great stuff and then took nm daughter out for dinner as a celebration of her son passing his driving test.
back to the mill today , usually get shopping delivered on a monday but still have plenty in so will knock that on a few days. We are having chicken and chorizo paella today with prawns ( prawns and chicken both yellow sticker) and shepherds pie tomorrow but I havent thought ahead any further then that.
Have still be juicing and my moods are much improved , dont know if this is the cause however the ninja juicer is not operating as it did upon purchase , the auger is turning much slower and its jamming even with the smallest of pieces so I have been on to customer support. I love and endorse ninja products HOWEVER 90 minutes of hold music before i got an agent , they agreed to swap the machine but only once they had recieved the faulty one back - a process which once I find a suitable box , print the label and find a drop off point could take around 7-10 days.
This process bought out the call handler nightmare in them and I explained that as much as I was fully understanding they wanted the machine back before a new one was despatched , it was unfair that all of the inconvenience of their product malfunctioning was put on me and that they found it acceptable that the customer should go without what they have paid for for 7-10 days to protect their own financial interests. quick chat with the supervisor and suffice to say there is now a new product on its way to me with the trust installed in me that i will return the faulty one. - they did try and smooth me over by saying that I could call when i had returned it and they would authorise the replacement , told him i had lost the will to live on hold and asked if he had 90 minutes available in his day to sit on hold.........................................I understand policies but it felt daft , I also feel like its a small victory when persistance but politeness gets me the desired outcome.

I didnt make the gym yesterday so HAVE to get in there today. plan is to go after work
Have succumbed to an online shop delivered tomorrow - we are fine for most things so its basically so my catering continues without having to think too much about if I have something. We have shepherds pie today which is already prepared and just needs to go in the oven to toast the mash off. We had paella last night which was lovely ,I must remember to include this in the portfolio more often.
I am running a bit dry on ideas and very nearly purchased a cookbook but then I remembered that Xmas is fast approaching and its a good little idea to farm out to NM kids and my neices so I will potter along until then.
Aubergines are on clubcard so I have taken the plunge and will attempt to make my own baba ganoush - I absolutely love it but its really tricky to find it pre made in the supermarket , If I can do my own it also must be cheaper !! we have a big supply of pitta breads which I bought as a less processed alternative to rolls/baquettes but they do tend to crumble so these can be toasted and stripped for dips instead.
Its also got to be healthier right?
I'm on a real rid the house of processed products drive and making sure I know what is in what I am buying - I think as consumers we aren't aware of some of the industrially produced things in our food so I making it my business to check for ingrediants when I buy for the nastier oils etc - peanut butter is a big culprit in this so its only the ones containing very high percentage of nuts that I will entertain.
Got a few half annually bills coming up and today one of my dining chairs gave way and potentially wont be fixable so I'm mindful of not making any purchases that aren't needed - I am hoping we can salvage the chair for now , the table and chair set only cost me £100 out of the charity shop 3 years but if I can get it to hold out another month or so then potentially there will be a bargain after xmas....................although it may be worth me checking the charity shops in the approach to xmas0
