There are 3 juices that I am focusing on at the moment ,
The first is the immunity shot which is basically Apples , Oranges , Ginger , and tumeric and a bit of black pepper to activate the tumeric
I'm also doing an anti flammatory one , which juices bright green ( I'm adding a bit of spirulina and matcha tea powder to this one )
This is supposed to assist inflammation , help digestion and ease bloating and be good for fat burning.- 4 celery stalks
- ½ cucumber
- 1 cup pineapple
- ½ green apple
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 lemon
- 1 knob ginger
And then I am doing another which is beetroot , carrots and oranges ( its actually quite nice) , i did put some ginger in this one as lets be honest , its good for you right
That one is supposed to have the benefits below- Aids Digestion & Detoxification:These ingredients can support a robust digestive system and help the liver detoxify the body.
- Supports Eye Health:Carrots are rich in beta-carotene (vitamin A), while beetroot contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which help protect the eyes from damage and improve vision.
- Improves Circulation:Beetroot is rich in nitrates, which help dilate blood vessels, improving blood flow throughout the body.
- Provides Essential Nutrients:The combination is a natural source of various vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support overall growth and well-being.
Its early days but I am finding that I am feeling slightly clearer and more energised
I hit an afternoon slump yesterday and was all for an early night yet I had the beetroot juice after my dinner and was suddenly wide awake again.
I can't really juice ahead more then 3 days but I have some 500ml glass bottles for storage.
I am considering getting the 50% off odd box of fruit and veg and keep my fingers crossed that it contains what i will use.
I also need to try and get in lidl early doors for their fruit and veg boxes.

This one does have inflammatory properties but its more of an immune system boost - we have a small shot of this every morning , it gives the start of the day a kickdawnybabes said:Is the anti inflammatory one turmeric and ginger ?0 -
Thank you , really do believe in trying to help yourself, I think the anti inflammatory one looks great , I always think it's hard to eat much celery unless in soup or a juice so definitely will try this xx0

I'd double the quantities and make a few days worth as its a faff to do it daily. Its actually very palatable , a teaspoon of honey is a good softener though.Newstartforme said:Thank you , really do believe in trying to help yourself, I think the anti inflammatory one looks great , I always think it's hard to eat much celery unless in soup or a juice so definitely will try this xx
I read once that you actually burn more calories eating celery then what it is in it in the first place - never been able to eat much of it unless its got cream cheese in the centre or dipped in humous.
I think there is a trend to medicate problems rather then solve them - I would certainly like to improve whatever I have going on with decent nutrition rather then pop a pill.
I did read also that you shouldn't drink gallons of fresh juice as alot of the fibre gets lost when you don't eat the pulp , I am having a small tumbler of the beetroot one and a small tumbler of the green one and a shot glass of the ginger immunity juice.
topped both up with a little bit of water just to keep up the hydration.
I've also decided that I am going to juice a watermelon to have with my spirit tiple rather then coke or lemonade too!!!!!!1 -
Well amazon prime day has not been my friend!!!!! it has as I have made savings , bulk buy on toilet roll ( exciting stuff) , a discounted top up on my biomel and a new style on the FP record player for my grandsons xmas box.

been a spendy few days
Nails havent been done for a while , I usually go to my friends daughter who does them from home but the appointments are hard to get with my working hours so i went to the local nail bar £26 spend but it did mean i was home within 30 minutes and could do them in my lunch hour. I may do this going forward as its so difficult to synchronise with my usual person.
Hair needed doing last night , so expensive when you are grey young !!! £110 , not sure its worth it but hey.
This weekend NM is working an event so we are away , a lot of my friends will be there which is a good thing but its so much faff getting ready for it. We are heading up there tonight so I am just grabbing 10 minutes to myself ( with my painful midriff) before the carnage starts.
Have made chilli for dinner and a chilli pasta bake to put in the oven for dinner tomorrow so need to remember to put that in the car too.
Caught sight of the 6 months water bill , £234 , its not a lot compared to others but the last bill was £140 so the increase in costs by the water companies is absolutely a thing.
I've stripped our fleece bedding since we are away and have it hanging to dry ................despite spinning it 6 times its still sodden with water so I have hung it over the door frame , squeezed what water i can out and plugged the dehumidifier in. its brand new bedding from the next sale but i am thinking that next time it needs a wash it needs to go to the laundrette .................a downside to having a super king bed when you dont have a super size machine to wash it in.

Another one here debating hair costs , almost exactly the same price , such a lot to hand over for a couple of hours work . Local launderette would be a better option for large bedding items, did similar with large throws which was great apart from the drier eating pound coins at an alarming rate. Hope weekend goes well and spending settles down soon xx0

been a good weekend of company and music and not too expensive on the pocket which is good news.
my stomach is back to firing up which isnt good news but hopefully it will settle down soon.
Absolutely shattered after not a huge amount of sleep so lazy dinner tonight and a bath and early one.0 -
so far this week I have had two early nights.
I woke up at 5am this morning so hopefully today will be a productive day. Plan to get floors hoovered and mopped and put clean washing away around the wFH day.
Need to adjust my laundry practices - its hard now we can't get stuff out on the line but the only crucial stuff to wash is NM's work uniform. I've washed the hall runner this morning and realised that I have done 40 odd washing pods in a month !! I am definately not being savvy with the washing. Partly I think because now we have to dry inside I want to make sure I get my stuff on before MC monthly hoards come down and don't want to be troubled with not having any rack space to dry it
I need to do less washes , neither of us are going to run out of clothes and as long as NM's work uniform is clean there really is no rush for the other stuff. its not like we will run out of clothes.
I really can't see any further progress with MC moving himself along .................that clock is ticking since the conversation a month ago. I did hear NM say to him I will send you that money later. I am not sure whether that is for his tax bill or his recent van repair but it would appear that the habits are still the same ...............not bothering me so much though now
Shopping arrived on monday but we bought so much back from the weekend away that I am not going to do a weekly grocery shop until I am down to the bare bones - we have an overload of fruit and of veggies and salad so it should be quite a healthy week !!
