Dearest @efes_shareholder this sounds like good news re your plan for mum's house.  Does your sister have a stake in it too? No doubt there will be a legal agreement drawn up.   You really do deserve a break; sending best wishes for your operation.   Love Humdinger xx
The house is 50/50 between us , it just makes sense to retain it when she needs somewhere to live and can't invest herself at the moment ( her share wont buy her property big enough to house her family but eldest two are at that age where they start to think about their own future living arrangements etc) If I can buy without selling then it makes sense to retain and hopefully it will clear more of my mortgage when eventually sold.
I shall be drawing up a declaration of trust etc to safegaurd things.

I'm so glad you've found the perfect house for you. That's fantastic news. I have concerns about your sister in your mums house. I know you are savvy with maths but you're very kind too. And as you say it's not your responsibility to keep her afloat.
Wishing you all the best for the op. Hope you're feeling much better very quickly - don't try and do too much too quickly and remember you can get more than 6 weeks off with a doctors note if you need to xxx
I am putting my faith in her , its a terrible situation to be in and she is my sister so its only right I have her back. I will help her if I can but its a two way thing and she must also help herself.
I will be holding some funds as an emergency ( and not telling her! ) and making things as water tight as possible.
Its possible the house still may have to be sold.
it will become clearer in the next few weeks

    I could but I won’t
She just needs to pay the remortgage repayments ( it won’t be interest only ) and mantain the place
boiler needs servicing , it’s down to her

pre med yesterday and now getting organised for MOnday , very little detail given to me on what to expect and recovery but i guess I'll learn on the way. Lots of friends telling me I wont be able to lift a kettle but i guess it varies from person to person

was naughty and had a home delivery shop delivered today , time seems to slip through my fingers and I prefer to know there is plenty in for dinner etc over the next week. Also without a vehicle at the moment I can't just nip to the shops. We are now restocked and good to go.

NM picks up his work car tomorrow , it should be me buying the car but he is happy too since I have a house to buy , I won't buy another car as 2 is quite enough for one household.

The hard search for the mortgage is now showing on my noddle account , scary but excited. Hard to know what to do for the best but just take a leap of faith and hope everything falls in to place. Financial advisor also contacted me for proof of deposit so again this is a positive.
Will be seeing sister tomorrow so will have a good long chat with her if our very talkative friend who is helping us with house clearance allows.

NM is out straight from work tonight so I am home alone before a manic weekend. Looking forward to a nice soak and catch up on the tv as my pain is off the scale today

Good luck on the housing plans! I know my heart was pounding when I saw the search on my credit report. Hopefully everything goes through smoothly.
