Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 3 - A New Beginning

Dawnybabes - that is so kind of you to offer, thank you. I am willing to try pretty much anything to be honest... I slept a little better last night, but was still awake for an hour at ten past four. At least I managed to get back over though. I am tired and very grumpy today though - I have to be honest. End of term can't come soon enough for me.
Didn't get off to the best of starts today - managed to catch my dress on a door handle and ripped it beyond repair. Found out our school are doing precisely nothing at all for Christmas this year - we are in lessons and teaching right up until Friday break time then 1 hour with form classes then home. This seems stingy in comparison to dd who not only finishes on Wednesday but also has a shopping trip as a reward for her behaviour so far this year. Not sure who made my favourite head teacher into the ultimate Ebeneezer but he clearly isn't into festivities at all.Had a headache by 10am as well.
On the plus side I did have an email from BeeTee eventually. I have a case manager, who has confirmed that I have my next engineer appointment on Christmas Eve, and that she will be dealing with me until the matter is sorted. In the short term she's sending me some sort of mini 4G box thing that will kick in with unlimited data if the broadband continues to fail. At least they read my complaint.
Shopping arrived from Mr S with a couple of unexpected freebies - 2 tins of tuna and a packet of Lebkucken biscuits (?!?) I did try and return them to the driver as I hadn't ordered them but he scanned them and said that they weren't on my order in the first place so he couldn't take them back. :rotfl: I said I hoped that they had been ordered by the woman that nearly drove into me at the roundabout on the way home as karma. :rotfl: Anyway, the tuna I can definitely use, but I'm getting rid of the biscuits at work - they don't sound like my sort of thing at all.
Anyway, I'm in front of the telly with 1 G&T just because I really want to tonight - I don't know what's up with me, but I just want to sleep or moan at people. 11 more school get ups *which is 2 more than dd* Will think about crochet then sleep. Not giving up

I have been up and awake at 4.30 three days out of the last 5. It is beyond annoying.
I totally understand the door handle destruction thing - I have changed all but 2 of ours to knobs because I am incapable of walking through a door without impaling myself on a trouser loop (!) or a belt(!) or somehow the back of a bra strap (!) on the flipping things and leaving me dangling there like a confused fish in a net.:rotfl:.
Last day of the week now, hang on in there. I had parents evening last night for DS2 and he is lucky he is not in the garage.
Only because we do not have a garage. Or a stable.

I knew I shouldn't have been mean about that woman who cut me up at the roundabout. Karma got me back good this morning - by combining hormonal issues with a migraine and my head of department being off work again. Talk about a challenge! I had asked for the Head to come and see me but he didn't turn up, which turned out to be lucky because I was too busy overseeing the overexcited children bouncing off the walls in the department. I've said it before but I am not cut out to lead a faculty. I don't mind doing it once in a while but I still hadn't fully recovered from the two days I did it last week, and top of my general exhaustion/hormonal stuff/low mood/migraine then I am wiped out. It's all quiet here at work - school is over and all the staff have gone home in the department except for me. I'm just waiting for ds to arrive from his school so we can go home. Then just to survive the Wacky Race that is my drive home with my sickly migraine then sleep. I may not be back on here tonight.
I can tell I'm in desperate need of a decent rest because literally everything is annoying me and I'm taking everything personally. I'm a right bundle of laughs at the moment :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 10 more school get ups.
On the plus side - I feel as though I will almost certainly get a nsd, and if I'm very, very lucky I might get home without arguing with ds.Not giving up

Awww, sorry it has been such a rough day, CCL.
I can sympathise with the hormonal migraines, having had the perimenopause from hell. Yes, definitely rest, have a big glass of water & a slow release snack.... something starchy with some protein. I used to find that helped a little bit, but really, it was a case of taking some codiene & having a lie-down. Take care.

My headaches and lack of sleep have increased 10fold with the perimenopause-!!!!!!!-pause too.
The delights we go through!
Hope you can have a restful weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Alas - the head is still fuzzy. I woke up and came downstairs at just before 6am with the intention of going back to sleep, which unfortunately just didn't happen for one reason or another. I am grateful that I haven't had to go anywhere or do anything today though. So today has been a day of r&r as far as you can a fortnight before Christmas. I've watched a couple of Christmassy films with the kids, done a little bit of present wrapping and some crochet. Other than that though, just feeling a bit emotional and sorry for myself. It's all fine though - I'll be ok because I always am - just need sleep... blimming hormones. Not giving up
