Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 3 - A New Beginning

OMG! I've gotten into work and there are three people absent in the department today - including the Head of Department. That means that me, and the other second are jointly in charge. We have two brand new teachers in our department - only teaching since September - and 3 off, which leaves us with 5 regulars to hold down the fort.
This could be a stressful day - wish me luck. Not giving up

Just keep breathing (nobody knows you are blagging it). Get your inner swan out.
If you are making mash already, then mine (except one) love a cheese and onion pasty - tiny amount of cheese goes a long way - plus Her0n 3x£1 blocks of pastry that lives in the freezer. Make and freeze and then at least you have a standby meal / lunch
Great news on the legal funding efforts.

I'm completely blagging it - I'm not going to lie.
I'm also completely exhausted and ready for a kip. My head of department makes 10 grand a year more than I do but I do not think it's worth all the extra hassle in any way, shape or form.
Good idea re cheese pasties - dd hates cheese (how can she even be my daughter?) so won't eat them, but me and ds (probably) would. I've just had a cheeseburger for lunch because my packed lunch won't do the job at all today. From our school cafe though - not the golden arches so a nice and proper cheeseburger. £3 well spent in my book.
I've also handed over the £84 as requested to keep the legals moving. I hope I get some positive news back from that really soon. It's 3 days until payday and for the first time in months I actually have a tiny bit of cash left at the end. It's less than a tenner but hey - it's a win in my book. Not giving up

CCL - Just keep blagging it, you will be fine. And if you don't fancy a Head of Department job, well, you never have to apply for one, do you?! Just keep going & you'll be home before you know it with your jarmas on & will be wielding your crochet hook.
You might only have finished the month a tenner in credit, but if as you say, it's the first time in months you've been in the black by payday then fair play to you. Somewhere along the line this month you've pulled your horns in a bit & it's clearly paid off. Hope the £84 does its job & things progress on that front. I think all of us are looking forward to hearing you tell us it's finally all sorted out.
Keep a-going!

Hello
Well, I am home in my jammies and about to crochet. There are at least 2 off in the department tomorrow (including the boss) again, as I've already had the emails. I'll see what happens when I turn up in the morning.
On top of that, dd's school is closed tomorrow and Thursday as they have so many kids and staff off with the norovirus. I am more jealous than I should be - we have a lot of kids absent but are still open at the moment. I have asked her if she will make quiche for dinner tomorrow night as she isn't sick and is getting a bonus couple of days off work (thanks trix-a-belle) - we shall see. She makes a good quiche.
Have been to Mr S - decided that as I'd spent at school then I would do the shopping tonight - so it was after 6 when I got home. Some meals planned for the week ahead anyway. I'm just about to look through the budget - again - to see what's what for December. My brain is still going so I might as well while I'm feeling like doing it.

Just the two of them off then, but I've been so busy sorting all of that stuff out that I've forgotten to do some planning for Year 7 for tomorrow. I predict another busy day and a late finish - and I absolutely hate Wednesdays. Not in my own classroom, on break duty, meetings etc.
Left dd a small/medium to-do list. She's 15 now so no excuses :rotfl:Not giving up
