Have a fab time in London.
I do think the nspcc give great advice, I use them for work a lot. Their training is also excellent - expensive, but worth every penny.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Hello :hello:
We are home againAnd what a lovely couple of days we have had, albeit not very frugal at all. But I had decided that I was pulling all the stops out knew that we were going to spend a lot of money and it was so much fun. We travelled first class on the train so got breakfast on the way down and late lunch on the way home. Plus I got 3 vodka minatures on the way home which I've brought to either use at a later date or as part of a gift to someone. Definitely worth paying the little bit extra for first class on a 3 hour train journey. Plus I'd paid extra for a suite at the hotel so that the kids could have separate sleeping areas. I slept in the bedroom with ds and dd slept on a double sofa bed in the living area. Air conditioning, 6th floor, walk in shower, breakfast included - all very luxurious indeed.
Day 1 we went for lunch at Planet Hollywood which was brilliant. It's quite rare to find a restaurant that all 3 of us are happy eating at so that was good. Then we went to the giant Primarni at Tottenham Court Road. I didn't believe it but we were actually in there for 2 and a bit hours. I am not a big shopper but dd definitely is, and she a savvy shopper so we were in there for ages. DS and I were very happy in the Harry Potter section of the shop and I got a few bits from my own shopping list - socks, notebook and tea towels. Also got myself a new nightie as I always seem to when I'm in that shop.
It was half past four when we checked into the hotel and we got a couple of hours relaxing before we went out to the show, which I basically needed just to recover from Primarni. Didn't need to eat after our massive lunch.
Wicked was as good as I remembered it, and even better - the kids loved it too. I'm so pleased that they enjoyed it because neither of them were very bothered about seeing it before we actually got there. It is an amazing show.
Had a bit of a lie in yesterday, plus a late checkout so after breakfast we just relaxed in the room for a few hours. Again much needed because dd needed to exchange some jeans she had bought (feeling fat because the size 4 jeans were too small - some discussions needed there) and we had to go back to Primarni. We didn't just exchange the jeans though - we spent another £20 as well on things we hadn't bought on the first day.
Got home last night at about 6pm - just in time to see my sister being interviewed on the news (she's a psychology lecturer so quite often gets asked for opinions on stuff) but I was shattered... so just sat and had an early night.
I'm not feeling great today but it is definitely hormonal so just need to relax a bit and hopefully feel better soon. I've been out and caught up with bestie for a couple of hours which was much needed. I think tonight will be another early night - no time to think about putting a long term future plan in place. I have read your post MT and I will start to think about what I might like. To be fair I am in quite a good place overall - I enjoy my job, love my kids etc so I don't know what I want in the future. Maybe just to be in a happier place with myself and like myself a bit more. Not giving up

Nothing much to report today. I've spent most of it working.
I'm not feeling that great physically - I'm quite run down and my hormones are playing havoc with me this month. Eating all sorts, feeling rubbish, emotional, tired, grumpy etc. Particularly bad this month for some reason but I just need to work through it as I always do.
Anyway, I've spent most of today working - reviewing exam papers before the final marks are awarded and checking the marks being awarded.
Managed another lovely catch up with bestie - the last one before she jets off on her hols for a fortnight. That's always good for the soul.
And my mam rang up this morning, to ask me and the kids to go out for dinner tomorrow. Clearly last week's issues are playing on her a bit but it still just needs time. I literally cannot help the way that I feel - I will be fine as I always am.
Not managed any decluttering yet today but I will do that before I go to bed - the exam stuff took longer than I thought and I'm tired and hormonal - boo hiss! Not giving up
