    Hi everyone, happy Sunday!

It's been a little while since my last update - what can I say, work has been absolutely manic. Hopefully the next few weeks will be less stressful.
In the meantime, we finished our garden which looks absolutely lovely now, next on the list is our kitchen - new tiles, new unit doors, and new worktops. I can't wait, I think it will be so pretty. Might be a project that needs to be stretched over the next few months though, turns out none of those things are particularly cheap.
Stress at work also meant that I barely did any work on my etsy shop in July (uploaded just 2 more small patterns, barely posted on social media), but it's been my best month so far. It's nice to see that I'm at a point now where I don't need to constantly promote my shop and still get consistent sales! I've now earned enough to need to pay tax on my income as well, but with YNAB it's not too tricky to track that.

This month, we'll hit another mortgage milestone and get under £165k, exciting stuff! We're almost 4 years ahead now as well. Our interest rate increases this month to 1.88% (another 2 year fix), but I feel like that's still a good rate. Probably helps that my parents just told me they funded their house in Germany in the 90s on a 10 year fix, 10% interest rate!

On the less bigger picture 'what's been going on' update, this weekend is Pride weekend here in Brighton. Mr julicorn and I went to watch the parade yesterday, which was just lovely. I also made a meal plan again for the next 2 weeks, you've got to try every now and then, am I right? We also went to Cambridge with my parents a few weekends ago which was lovely, hadn't been there before.

Either way, I hope you all have a great evening and a good start into August :)

Congratulations on the Etsy shop constant sales, and on the mortgage :) plus you've fitted in some lovely things. Pride has such an amazing atmosphere, doesn't it :) especially in Brighton!

Got a pay rise at my job out of the blue today (my boss has been noticing how much I've had to do lately) - might crack open a bottle of bubbly tonight, even if it's a school night! :j
