Thank you!
I can't really believe it either, considering we've only been overpaying for less than 1.5 years.

Smallest update ever: Just managed to make another overpayment, which means we are now officially 4 years ahead (in terms of remaining balance compared to if we'd never made any overpayments)! :j

Happy September everyone! Our first OP for this month has just gone through. The mortgage balance is now £162,500, which means we have hit another 2 milestones: £40,000 paid off, and 20% of our mortgage paid off. Here's to the remaining 80%!
Will try and properly measure out the kitchen and order the new worktops as well this evening. One of those tasks I keep pushing to the next day every day, but it's got to be done. Maybe one of you will need to hold me accountable, so the kitchen doesn't keep on looking like a building site for the rest of the year :rotfl:0 -

Thank you all! :heart2: Again, without the support in this forum I'm not sure we would have ever started overpaying.
I can now also report that we've ordered the new worktops, finally! We should get those delivered in a bit over a week I reckon, and finally make some progress with our kitchen. I might post some pictures once we've fitted them0
