Hi Julicorn,
I've just caught up on your diary, sounds like you are doing fab! Congrats on the wrok promotion and the Etsy shop doing well too.
New kitchen sounds very exciting, I'm currently trying to decide what colour to paint mine in the new house. I may be sneaky and get units professionally resprayed though, I am not sure i have the patience to paint them all myself!MFW Start:[STRIKE] Sep 2014 - £110,844[/STRIKE], July 2019 New Home £190,995

Thanks so much for checking in, Runders! It's great timing actually, because today I got a further pay increase (everyone at my work is getting more money, basically, which is fantastic), and we're making good progress with the kitchen too. Fitted one of the worktops and a new sink, and tomorrow we're getting the gas hob disconnected so we can fit the other worktop on the weekend. The plan is to (hopefully) fit the upstands and tile the splashback this weekend too, because next weekend we're going to Germany for my mum's birthday - we shall see how far we get. I'll post an update! All the best with your kitchen - what colours are you considering at the moment? We're going a bit wild in hours, but that's a bit of a theme throughout our whole flat tbh. :rotfl:Original mortgage: December 2017, £203,495

Thank you both! I'm currently not as stressed out at work either which to be honest makes even more of a difference than a bit of extra money and a pretty kitchen. Will post updates on the latter once it's done thoughOriginal mortgage: December 2017, £203,495

Quick update, just to say that our mortgage is now officially in the £150-thousands (i.e. under £160k)
We're currently in Germany to go on a mini holiday to a lovely northern Bavarian town called Bamberg (much to the amusement of Mr Julicorn, as the 'Bam' is pronounced like 'bum' - hilarity ensued!). Trying to get a little bit more stitching done because I've neglected my etsy shop somewhat (still getting decent sales luckily), but we seem to be spending most of our time eating and drinking instead. Ah well, no complaints here!
Hope you've all had a lovely start to OctoberOriginal mortgage: December 2017, £203,495
