went into my local cpw and they were very helpful. they cancelled my itemised billing with no questions asked.
the 250 txt deal is something osps must sort out as its their promotion apparently and they will hopefully update the cpw system.
charlotte3 any more news from your end?
No more news I'm afraid! The manager who was getting back to me from CPW was off yesterday and today so no call. However, The guy I first spoke to rang me to let me know they are dealing with it.Sexkitten

Sorry - They are allowed to do this as it is in the Terms and conditions you agreed to when you submitted your order. "The offer you get is the one when you are connected to the network and not the one when you apply".
The only way around this is to do a telephone order, but you will then miss the £10 cashback for the online order.
Saying that I am surprised it took that long for your order to be processed. Was there a problem with the credit check with Vodafone? Did they contact you at all from the time your submitted the order to receiving the phone?
Your options are simply. Keep the phone and pay the higher monthly figure or return the phone and get a better deal else where.
You can try sending an email to the sales manager andrewp@onestopphoneshop.co.uk, but to be honest I doubt you will get anywhere as it is written down in the T&C's that you accepted.
I checked http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/ tonight and they actually had some good deals for the K750 which might beat the OSPS deal anyway.0 -

I rang a couple of days ago on this subject and so I've been told... the car chargers are out of stock and will be delivered seperately in 7 - 10 working days.Sexkitten

Is there a number I can call to get the number of minutes and text messages I have left for the month on voda carphone warehouse? I don't want to ring customer services each and every time to check whether the 250 texts have been added or not...
anyone?
I read you can downgrade tariff after 6months, but i'm thinking may be they will adjust the amount of cashback you will receive if u do that... if u see waht i mean, as otherwise I can simply downgrade to £15 per month and the overall deal costs £270 - £240 (cashback) - £30 (Rec cfriend) = £0 for the year... :rotfl:
and for other deals, eg 12months free line rental (orange OVP voda 200 i remember), this will mean u will even be getting paid to take up the contract!

Yes you can downgrade after 6 months and could theoretically get profit from the contract too! The 12 months free can make even more money by selling the handset!

bbb_uk wrote:An offer to sell something at a price advertised is just an offer (an invitation to buy). A TV that says it 28" but in fact is only 25" is a misleading description. In the bold bits of the text I quoted:-was the bit I was trying to refer to.
Alternatively, look at this page and in particular the following quotes (taken from it):-In this quote the terms, "price on display" is basically the same as what's on OSPS website for that phones offer. Specifically, the last paragraph states that we cannot insist a shop (in this case OSPS) sells us anything (the phone) at that marked price (the offer at the time), whether or not they have made a mistake.
Yes I agree with that and have looked into it before however what I was questioning is whether OSPS are changing the offer details before or after they have accepted the offer to buy. If they are taking any monies or doing something else that would be deemed as having accepted your offer to buy then they have entered a contract to supply the goods as advertised.
If however they are informing people first without accepting the offer to buy and not taking payment before informing them of a change in the offer then no contract has been formed and the new offer can be accepted or refused.
That's my understanding of it anyway.
