I ordered 2 K750i phones last week on the 8 month cashback deal. One phone arrived on Friday and the paperworks states 8 months. Nothing mentioned about the £10 cashback for internet orders and no car charger, but thats another story!

I phoned OSPS and asked for my second phone I ordered and they just said they have only sent me one. The CS operator said he could put another order through now, but that would be on 6 months @ 2.99! I said I wanted the same deal as the first phone but he said he couldn't do it!

So where do I stand? I ordered 2 phones, but they sent me 1. I ask for the second and they won't honour the same deal! OSPS confirmed they made the mistake and my order did say 2 phones, but they now claim they can't do anything about it! Great!

    Hi!

How did you order your two phones? Because at the shopping basket page (which I printed off as recomended) it tells you at the top of the page "You can only order one offer at a time. If you need to order more then please place a second order."

If you made two seperate orders however then it is their mistake for not processing your order correctly and I would chase them to correct it.

I printed out the page at the time, and yes, it says it includes 250 text messages free for 6 months (this was the offer with the 7 months free line rental). Obviously make sure you cancel this option after six months unless you need it, since it will start costing £14 a month.

When you say you printed out the page, do you mean the front page with the offer on? Only I printed off the shopping basket and order confirmation page and it isn't mentioned on there.

Update: Just rang OSPS regarding in car charger, apparently it is on order to arrive seperately as they are out of stock at the moment. Should receive it in 7 - 10 days.

For anyone "contract savvy" who's got their OSPS phone, a general operating question if i may....:

I've never used Vodafone before, had the K750 for 5 days now..
The phone's black, unbranded with the only 'Vodafone' thing being the sim card. It was connected for phone calls right out of the box, no instructions about activation needed, but it's not set up for MMS or GPRS. No other mention of Vodafone at all.
I've called Vodafone on 191, no record of the telephone number or my account has on their system, so they can't do anything. They couldn't understand how it was working without me registering it or at least activating it....
They tried to put me through to "connections" but the girl mistakenly transferred me to "collections" (debt), who then gave me an unobtainable number to call...sigh.
I guess this might sort itself out when the first bill arrives, but i need to check the account and packages, and i need the SMS sent with the WAP connection settings, internet profiles etc.....

    1. Do OSPS use a service provider for this and not Vodafone direct?
    2. If not, has anybody got a working number for new CONNECTIONS?
    3. Is this what everyone's got in their box, or is it just me....
    Thanks..

(Apart from that, the phone's brilliant... )

I just checked the web site and it says "You can only order 1 offer at a time. If you need to order more then please place a second order."

I would say that I did order 1 offer, but just with a quantity of 2 phones. To me a different offer would be a different phone on a different contract, but as the contract and phone were the same I can just set the quantity box to 2.

If this is not allowed, what is the point of the quantity field on the order form?

Still not heard anything from OSPS this morning...

Use the MMS/WAP/email configurator on the Sony Ericsson site to setup the phone:
    http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_1_3&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10242

OSPS told me the service provider is "Car Phone Warehouse". Is this really correct?

You may have to call Vodafone to enable MMS though as by default it usual comes through as disabled. You can tell this is you try and send a MMS and it comes back as "Service is unprovisioned"

True! I hadn't looked at it like that! I just read it as meaning if you wanted to place another order whether for the same phone or not you would have to place them seperately.

    Good luck!;)

If cpw are the service provider is ther a risk that tariff downgrade might invalidate cashback? Even though there is no mention of this in the T&C as far as I am aware and I thought in other threads people had spoken to osps who had confirmed downgrade after 6m was permissable?
    I think....
  • Same things happened to me, i took a screenshot of the 8 months free offer,
have got phone this morning with paperwork saying 7 months free, no £10 voucher
and no car charger, has anybody spoken to OSPS about the discrepancy and got any joy.
As for the order tracking the less said the better.
    Cheers
