ah well, you did everything you could and at least with you making it as difficult as possible for him to get his money back he may be less likely to try and con others in the future0

Did you ever find out if he provided a tracking number?
I suppose he must have if paypants have gone in his favor?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Snake eyes don't give up completely. Please could you upload some pictures of the phone he sent back. Has a professional assessed the type of damage and checked for signs of tamper? If there are signs of tamper you may be able to link this with his bidding history. What did the hardware tests show? This fat chav may be a phone technician/dealer. Maybe speak with the police. Was the phone listed as used? Can we see your listing? Im so angry that Paypal took his side. They probably think you sent it like that. It's crazy because a bad seller who is knows he is sending a damaged phone would not send it recorded or pack it carefully so that they make it look like the postal service damaged it. You did everything on you part to stop this and it does not look like this have happened in transit. There would have been signs of trauma on the box. Snake eyes if this person is a dodgy phone dealer he has either tampered with the phone stolen/replaced parts or he is using your IMEI with another blacklisted phone. He has bought Unlocking software. Get it looked at please.
PS Merry Christmas :-)0 -
Thats awful, hope the New Year brings better luck.0

Leave details of his broken phone scams in your feedback with a neg to warn others.......and use that feedback as a negotiating position to get him to call off Paypal. I think you can use followup feedback to explain the scam further.illegitimi non carborundum0

If you need a second opinion regarding imei change or whether the board / screen has been changed let me know.... easy to spot on dismantling as the screen ribbon has a tape over it that is rarely replaced after a repair.... The IMEI can be read through service software we use.....
I still think he dismantled one half of the phone and swapped it.... Known as a cut and shut on a car !!
