MSE News: TSB customers STILL unable to use online banking after weekend upgrade

This is the biggest storm in a teacup that I've seen in years. Everything about my TSB account has been working perfectly, except I couldn't see it on line for a while. I soon found out that when you get the "service unavailable" message you just had to click on the button "go to TSB homepage" and log on from there, apart from a couple of days I had no issues.
People need to remember that TSB's banking ethics are head and shoulders above any other bank, I'm not entirely convinced that these problems were not orchestrated from outside. I for one will be sticking with TSB, I'm not jumping ship because of one week of minor inconvenience after years of first class service.
A storm in a teacup? So everyone is telling lies? I am sick to death of spending hours on trying to log on, make payments, transfer money( same error as others) And i also went to TSB homepage.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

A. There are thousands of posts made on the forum every day, it would be impossible for someone to read them all. Also, if we were to read and approve every post, we might become responsible for any unlawful information within those posts.
We want to protect our users as much as we can, so we have a 'report-a-post' system (see How do I report an inappropriate post?). Only after going through this process are posts legally deemed as being published by the site.0 -
"P.S. At the risk of being pedantic, you're presumably using Classic Plus accounts, rather than Classic accounts (which don't pay interest)?" Apologies - yes they are Classic Plus Accounts. Thanks for your post - glad I not the only one to receive this message.
I have a Platinum TSB credit card paying 1% cashback on up to £500 each month and the Direct Debit which pulls the full balance from my Santander account at the end of each month shows up on the TSB website as having been paid a few days ago whereas the payment hasn`t been taken and doesn`t show up on my Santander account yet. Very strange?
The "Storm in a teacup" comment isn`t helpful and I sympathise with those badly affected.
I am also uneasy about the "compensation chasing culture" in some posts from "you know who". However I would hope those who are badly affected get redress.0 -
How ever you cut the cookie it is unacceptable that I cannot see all my accounts & that some payments have been made three times instead of once. I had to borrow money from a family member. The branch cant help. Cannot get through to customer service & my credit card is still 'lost' 12 days on.

I have Financial Power of Attorney for my dad who has dementia. He is managing to stay at home with the help of carers, but I can't pay his care bill because I don't have access to his accounts.
I live some distance from him so having access to his accounts on-line is crucial.
i don't want compensation. I want to be able to pay the care bill of an elderly man with dementia. That's the reality of this IT meltdown. :mad:0 -

Then you are one of the few.
My account has now got my husband's name on it- how did they mange that?
The joint account has only my husband's name
The monthly standing orders to move money between the accounts now show them going to the same ccount
My husband's account account shows double standing orders going in and one coming out again.
For the last two days I get the message internet banking is not available. I do try to log in from the home page.
Just tried again and managed to log in but when I pressed continue after entering memorable information I ma now told 'page not found'.0 -
Absolutely....they are a bad as each other. Totally useless and all the directors are overpaid.0

I am still unable to log into online banking but the app is working fine for me now. Account balances are as they should be, interest was credited as expected, SOs were processed correctly, I could transfer money between my TSB accounts and make Faster Payments which arrived almost instantly the other end. I don't have any DDs at TSB and don't know whether they are working ok.
This isn't an "I'm alright, Jack" - just to say that things seem to be getting back to normal.0
