TSB is not my main bank but do have 2 classic plus accounts for harvesting interest.

Checked and only one of them is showing on my online banking.... Great.
    .

So you have TSB accounts just to take money off them? Shame on you! Glad to see you are having problems.

People need to remember that TSB's banking ethics are head and shoulders above any other bank
Even if this was true (and on what basis do you make the claim?), why should people be interested in TSB's ethics if their banking service and systems are inaccessible?

I'm not entirely convinced that these problems were not orchestrated from outside.
Oh dear, this sounds more like barking mad conspiracy theory stuff but just for a laugh let's hear why you think this....

They lend their money to the bank in exchange.

Then I tried to do a faster payment out of the account. It was ok until I got to the bit where you put your password in, then I kept getting error messages. In the end I logged out, and tried to have another go, but it told me that the service was not available.

I'll try another time. I already feel annoyed and frustrated, and this isn't even my main account.

I have exactly the same problem. I have tried six times to transfer money in the last two days with the same result. Sorry, but I am glad you have had the same problem because I was beginning to think it was me.
I have now put in a complaint as advised in HornetSaver's post from TSB above.

I posted that this meeting with MPs was going to happen yesterday.

I strongly urge TSB bank members to complain inconvenience at the very least. I received a postal letter today acknowledging my complaint.

    Should be nice easy money.

I'm rather shocked and sadden by the reporter of MSE TSB issues

I can't believe that MSE advocates if you had no issues with accessing TSB accounts that "you should give it ago" anyway to go and claim. What is MSE trying to say..

Please be careful of what you purport to be advice.
I personally have no issues with a genuine claim for person that has had loss but I do have issues for fraudulent claims being made..

In what ways are their banking ethics head and shoulders above any other bank?
Perhaps they're thinking of using Joe Hart in an advertising campaign? Some would say that TSB's online portal seems to be more effective than he is at shutting everyone out, and that their subsequent generosity (with increased interest and compensation) has something in common with his performances in recent years.... :)

This is the biggest storm in a teacup that I've seen in years. Everything about my TSB account has been working perfectly, except I couldn't see it on line for a while.

This post is so disagreeable that I felt compelled to register just to disparage it. People are unable to access their money, which is negatively affecting their lives - sometimes in a massive way. That you would think your own account working perfectly is at all relevant to other people's experiences is probably the most ignorant thing I've read this month.

I'm unsure how harshly this forum's moderators enforce politeness so please imagine this post as the maximum impoliteness allowed.

Seriously though, go to the TSB facebook page (no link allowed) and tell those people that it's a storm in a teacup. Hundreds of comments per day - think about all those who sit quietly and say nothing, and those who aren't from the internet generation and don't have IT skills.

I wonder what the precise number of people affected by this is. I would imagine that most of those people will be planning on never banking with TSB again. I guess at that point your argument that TSB deserve patience will be moot, because they won't exist any more.

I soon found out that when you get the "service unavailable" message you just had to click on the button "go to TSB homepage" and log on from there, apart from a couple of days I had no issues.

People need to remember that TSB's banking ethics are head and shoulders above any other bank, I'm not entirely convinced that these problems were not orchestrated from outside. I for one will be sticking with TSB, I'm not jumping ship because of one week of minor inconvenience after years of first class service.

A storm in a teacup? So everyone is telling lies? I am sick to death of spending hours on trying to log on, make payments, transfer money( same error as others) And i also went to TSB homepage.

FYI, the forum isn't actually moderated, as per https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs:
    Q. Why isn't the forum moderated?

    A. There are thousands of posts made on the forum every day, it would be impossible for someone to read them all. Also, if we were to read and approve every post, we might become responsible for any unlawful information within those posts.

We want to protect our users as much as we can, so we have a 'report-a-post' system (see How do I report an inappropriate post?). Only after going through this process are posts legally deemed as being published by the site.
