Some people refer to someone they work closely with every day as their work wife or husband, apparently.
(Just for info, there's recently been a spate of new usernames on here starting threads on the subject of cheating partners. I've counted three AEs so far, and put them all on ignore. If people want to continue feeding them/it that's up to them. I suppose it is quite entertaining!)0 -
Well Sunday evening came and I spoke to my husband who is back now down south. He insisted it was innocent , he eventually did show me his phone and there were no messages from the woman in question.... I feel like I'm no further on....
I'm troubled by the word I've put in bold... something doesn't sit right. It takes half a second to delete a years (or more) worth of text messages on my phone, with a simple swipe of the finger to the right.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

I think that rather depends on the phone you are using, some have a highlight, tick, delete system which would take a few seconds longer to initiate.I can offer no resistance, I can offer no respite

Wake me up when the fury is ended
I like living a peaceful life0 -

Regardless, given the use of the word eventually, it wouldn't take longer than say nipping to the loo to delete any such messages...Dwy galon, un dyhead,

Thank you for this. It's my age. I had never heard this one before. Although, in an earlier working life, I did hear of male bosses who treated their PA/secretary as a wife in some respects - pick up dry cleaning, make private or personal appointments, be aware of his likes/dislikes etc etc. Hopefully nowadays it wouldn't happen. PA is a professional and not there to be treated in that demeaning way. Hopefully!Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

If it was me and I was cheating I'd have a second phone. And I wouldn't sit there deleting texts whatever in front of my other half!
Whether you are guilty or not a moment's delay in handing over your phone seems - to suspicious minds - to have you down as a cheater.
Not sure how many more times Emily. Accept the invitation.0 -
