    Hi
I found this thread at the right time!

My husband and I have finally decided to separate after trying for too long to make things better. We told the kids DS 14 DD 9 last Friday which went as well as can be expected.

I've had the worst month of my life and I know there's hard times ahead but I know it will get better.

Now that a lot of the emotional stuff is out of the way (ha! as if!) the practicalities seem like a massive mountain so I'm going to tackle it 1 step at a time.

So far we've managed to be amicable which is a good thing cos we have to stay in the house together till we work out what we're going to do. So for now I need to get figures on the table and take it from there. We're going for a separation aggreement. A friend did most of her financial negotiating through Relate. Has anyone else had any experience of this or any other advice that could help me through this mine field at such a difficult time,

    Thanks
