It would be helpful if not receiving statements was not a condition of the 5% interest payable.

I'd feel much happier if I had a recent (pre migration) posted statement proving the balance in my account.
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

Would they believe me if I said we'd had £85k each in our accounts? Might they guess that £85 was nearer the mark?

Articles in the Mail and the Guardian point the finger of blame not at TSB but at its Spanish owner, Sabadell Bank. How robust are its finances, I wonder?

EDIT - just tried to login and got 'We are sorry. An error appears trying to load the resume of your account. Please try again.'. Foiled!!

    Still no idea.

Got access again and sent some dosh over to Santander. Screens slow'ish to load but not a problem.

Couldn't find the 'logout' button which is normally on the top right hand side. Had to select one account only and there was the logout button. Not visible on the main screen which shows all the accounts.

So far no real sweat. Not even grumpy! My local branch is only a large cupboard with three great staff who always help. I have no reason to move my main accounts away from TSB.

Logging in fine and no issues with my account. Patience truly is a virtue.

I am trying to transfer money to various payees and when I go to click 'confirm.'.. it doesn't work.. the 'confirm' button is not highlighted,,

No, I think "Holding List" in the page title and URL just means it's showing you a list of your account holdings (or is trying to!); it doesn't mean you've been placed on a "holding list."

It's because the password is too short so it won't accept it. if you type in a few more characters the confirm button will show up (but of course the password would then be incorrect). You also can't change your password online if you're in this boat, as it also says your existing password is too short when you type it in to change it. What a shambles.

There's a penalty to pay for writing bad English. So they actually meant "List of holdings" did they? And even then, who would naturally describe bank accounts, mortgages, personal loans, and credit cards as "holdings"? How amateurish.

I don't consider it amateurish, and I routinely use the word, "hold" to talk about my accounts, e.g. "I hold a TSB account". I'm not alone in this either.

By the way, traditionally grammarians would point out that starting a sentence with a conjunction is incorrect. I don't agree wth this, but when people start making comments about grammar then my heckles rise if they themselves are playing fast and loose. It is worth keeping in mind that language evolves and what was once considered to be incorrect is now considered to be correct, but may not be in a generation or two's time. Split infinitives are a good example of this phenomena. It is perfectly common for split infinitives to be used now, but was once considered to be a terrible crime because some eighteenth and ninenteenth century grammarians - obsessed with Latin grammar - decided that it was (they'd obvioulsy become bored with making up collective nouns).
