Online Banking STILL not working! How much longer can this go on?

Wasting so much time trying to access & need to make a payment.

    Various errors experienced.

What a surprise ? online banking not working !

As I have said repeatedly, TSB will make an announcement when it is all up and working. Do what I have done, I made complaints days ago. I won't access online banking until I see the TSB announcement. In the meantime, I will be getting loads of compensation.

I suggest that there will be so many complaints that TSB will give a default compensation to everyone that has already complained and then give extra to the more serious complaints.

    Nice easy money.

It's working for me... but at dial-up speed. Probably bandwidth issues -don't give up too early.

Why bother trying until TSB advise it is all working ? I am doing nowt and just waiting for loads of wonga !!
  • Online banking on my PC isn’t working for me either. I’m not interested in compensation, as I fortunately haven’t suffered any financial loss. I am sorry for those who have suffered genuine loss and hope they will be suitably compensated. However, this whole episode – compounded by the disingenuous statements of the CEO; particularly the "on our knees" comment referred to by others here - has left me thoroughly disillusioned by this bank. I no longer have any faith in its systems.

I’ve managed to access my accounts through the phone app and transferred the savings accounts balances into my current account in preparation for a switch into an existing account with another bank, which I’ve just set up. I accept the point made by others here that the rate of interest on the Classic Plus is market leading but frankly isn’t enough to induce me to stay. For personal reasons, I do not do branch banking. I also accept the point that IT glitches can happen to anyone but this one has lasted too long and, whilst I have no specialist IT knowledge, I can't see they have the management processes or expertise to normalise things in a reasonable time frame.

Banking is, above all, a confidence business. I no longer have confidence in TSB.

It takes only minutes to open a Starling Bank account with the phone app, add funds with your TSB debit card, then use it to make your payment(s). The limit for debit card load is £250/day, but it also works (also with limits) for Monzo Bank, Loot prepaid account and Revolut, if you need more urgently. No fees.

I paid a cheque into a branch last saturday (during the planned outage) and was told it would be processed on monday when the computer system came back up. It still hasn't hit my account.

I phoned the branch and, apparently, they are having problems processing cheques on the new system, and have a pile of them to deal with.

I had half a mind to pop in there again tomorrow and ask for my cheque back then pay it into a different bank, but I don't want to add to the burden of the poor staff by asking them to rummage through their pile of cheques to find my one. I'll just wait it out.

I can log in but I'm getting the same error message as earlier this week when I try to move money to another account. I thought they were getting somewhere!

The Daily Telegraph reported today that TSB have got a job advert out for a new IT Infrastructure director. Apparently TSB have denied that it is related to the problems of the IT upgrade last weekend.

    Mmmm,,,,I doubt it.

Do you mean to an account in a different bank or just to another TSB account? I haven't had any problems really but TSB isn't my main bank so i could leave it for a few days. The only odd effect noticed is that it keeps duplicating my name against transaction entries in my savings account.
