IBM global ? Have they flown in from Japan ? Suggest that this is IBM Warwick or some contractors..What will they know about the TSB application ? Mmm...Very little.

Seems they think the problem is infrastructure related. so they have involved IBM. They need to do root cause analysis. There may several issues causing the problem.

I have now been on the phone for over 35 mins to TSB and nobody has answered. The phone message said my call will be answered within 2 minutes.

    My complaint will mention this.

At least the interest rate has gone up to 5%.

Interestingly- for me at least - my mobile access is fine from my iPhone and mini iPad. The iPad Pro isn't being as co-operative.

As for the unwanted apostrophes; on Apple devices you need to turn off smart quotes in settings.

Yes, I'm annoyed with the problems though all this vitriol from keyboard warriors who couldn't do the job is wasted on me.

Top man on TSB on radio 5..no overdraft charges for April and current account interest rate to change to 5%

    I heard this as well.

The boost back to 5% interest is more than welcome :)

Didnt say for how long for though. Hopefully not just April.

I can access my accounts on my iPad, iPhone and laptop but can't do anything. I get as far as moving the money and then I get an error message saying the information I entered is incorrect. It definitely isn't!

I've never heard of smart quote, let alone know how to switch them off. It must be an issue with this forum as it doesn't affect any others.

I moved some money around and back on mini iPad OK.

Managed to get into my a/c last night after several failed attempts.

I see they are calling the Statement date "Statemented date"...

    What cowboys wrote this?

After over a 40 mins wait, I spoke to TSB.

She could not give me a date or time when the problem will be fixed. She just said they are working 24hrs a day to get it sorted and there will be a big announcement when it is fixed. I advised her that I would not be accessing online banking until I see this big announcement.

I see MSE post times are not in BST.:D:D
  • I've actually managed to make 2 online transfers now which went through to my other bank accounts (not TSB), but only one of them has shown as being debited from the TSB balance. That first one showed an error, but actually worked. The 2nd one was slow, but no errors.

I wonder if their backend system knows about that transfer that TSB showed as failing, but actually succeeded? If it doesn't pick it up then they are in big trouble as their transactional integrity is compromised.
  • Well at long last TSB are admitting that there is a payments issue - this wasn't on their service update page yesterday but is now:

"Some customers are experiencing difficulties making faster payments via mobile and internet banking successfully. An error message is shown on screen. Card payments, direct debits and standing orders are all working fine."

But based on what's been reported here and in the press the final sentence is codswallop as far as card payments are concerned.
