My Dad always called my sister and I 'pot-lids' :D

Now that we've both got our own children he calls them the pot-lids too. I like it, it's sweet :)

i cannot stand kids either and because it is now commonly said does not make it right or acceptable.

no wonder the children today are the way they are when they are likened to the young ones of goats

God save us in the world we live in now

oh if only they behaved like the young ones of goats as well, instead of the young tearaways some of them are.... ;)

never even thought about anything wrong with kids.Loads of other stuff to bother me in the world before that ever made it into my worries!
I call our children little monkeys or monsters,my partner refers to them as bin lids!
Do you think this is detremental to thier self esteem?I don't it encourages thier sense of humour, they know how special they are and how much we love them.

I've happened upon this thread completely by accident and to my astonishment, I've read it all, Why ? cos I seriously thought there was going to be a pun at the end of it.

Tell me your not serious, this is a joke right

I'm totally gobsmacked, I really, really can't beleive that people can get so wound up about such nonsence, I'm sorry i'm not meaning to be rude or disrespectful, but really, whats wrong with "Kids" or "hubby"

I didn't realise that we we're all born with a silver spoon in our gobs. I might be common, but I'm real and willing to except any term that someone may use.

There are far worse things in this world for me to get pee'd off about, the way people talk is most definately not one of them

YUP totally agree with you on this one rushnowt. People can get so stressed over the littlest things...now im sure some people just mean to complain in a lighthearted kinda way...but some people can just get soo serious about things! I mean chill!! Go watch some Lee Evans or something! He'll leave you in stitches.

Rushnowt...I completely agree that it's not rational, but I just can't help it.

My family come from East London and I can drop my H's with the best of them and I've always been brought up to understand that most people can't help the way that they talk (which is completely true), but to me, the term 'Hubby' seems so contrived. I've only ever come across it on message boards. BTW, Jellyhead, if everyone was using the word 'Bubs' here instead of 'Baby' I'd find that just as annoying.

So yes......we all get wound up by little things sometimes. It's part of human nature. My partner gets annoyed with adverts on the TV! and I've been out with people in the past whose road rage warranted therapy IMO!

    Get over it?.....I'll try!

Funny enough my pet hate is when people from the UK are called english.
Catherine Zeta Jones' hubby (lol) said I'm really looking forward to visiting England.
His wife is Welsh for goodness sake-I would have clonked him one if I was her.
    All credit cards paid off.
