    Oppps sorry, I thought it was "flowercake" didn't realise it was " flourcake" LOL, well shows ya just how dumb I am

    I've always known them as chip muffins from my days at school and sneaking out t' chipshop at dinner time lol, although my nan always called them barm cakes, and grandad always called me a barm pot (answers on a postcard) I don't know to this day what that was all about :confused:

    But ya just gotta have gravy on ya chips, surely ? although pea soup, ketchup, curry or mayonaise will suffice ;):D I'm so easily pleased :D

    Flamin heck .. every single thread you potty women manage to turn into a recipie thread ... can you not stop thinking about food for 5 minutes ? Everybody knows that chips should be liberally coated in curry sauce (not one of those raison filled powder jobs ... proper chinese curry).

    Chips and gravy is lush! Chips and Cheese is even better!
    And they're Chip Butties in Berkshire!!!! With lashings of butter, so it drips down you chin when you bite into it! Yum!
