Happy Anniversary! Tea and cake is good
I hope Mr Cheery feels better, and you feel rested - not surprised you're in wind-down mode, your work is very intense. And there is Bessie, after all

Thank you all 😊 Neither of us were feeling anywhere near top fun so we'll have a re run when we can go and celebrate 😂
Funny old day. Mr Cheery woke me at 4.30 this morning because he could hear a drip 🙄 Somehow i ended up in the loft, moving bowls around trying to catch it 🙄 I stopped the noise (a minor miracle) but didn't really go back to sleep, so today has been quite a washout.
We did walk almost four miles though, which was good, and had a long chat about me dropping a day at work. I think the decision is pretty much made now, I just want to go over a few things while I'm off, so be prepared for some long and waffly posts...
Still not bought extra premium bonds, must do that tomorrow. And I sent my nephew his Christmas present for his birthday last week, but it now seems that I might actually see them next weekend (first time since July!!) so I need to get a replacement, pronto!
Nowt else to report I don't think. Been wild and windy here, teeth hurt a bit, I've had a nice long bath, and I might just go to bed early tonight and hope for a more productive day tomorrow...7 -
Urgh, getting up that early to wander about in an attic that's got a drip isn't the best way to start the day
though good for you for getting out on the moors. Always sounds blissful when you say "moors". We have the Downs, in this corner of the UK, but they're a very thin line of countryside, and they're not moors. Sleep well.

Morning MSE chums 😊
Today is still windy, but it's slowly calming down a little, and the sun is peeking out occasionally...
I've been lying around watching videos of other people gardening 😂 Lost a total of £2.30 doing MB this morning, but lost about £13 yesterday as well 🙄 Sitting at £220 for the month now.
I slept well last night, and would like to get a few things done today! Sitting around is all very nice, but I'll be annoyed with myself if I've not got a few things done by the end of my holiday. So here's a bit of a list for today.
* find and order nephew's present
* buy new premium bonds
* banks & YNAB
* washing on (and hung up later when the sun is meant to be out!)
* sow loofah seeds
* fold clothes from bathroom
* put up a couple of pieces of kitchen ceiling plasterboard
That'll do for today. There's likely to be a walk, and it would be lovely if we could arrange for a visitor tomorrow when the sun is shining! But we'll see, it is a Tuesday and short notice after all...6 -

Yep, a definite case of wishful thinking
on my part. But now I'm *also* going to imagine you in a Kate Bush video when you mention going for a walk
Enjoy the day, I'm off out for a walk myself in a few minutes - trying to find an alternative route for the start of what my sister and I did last Thursday, there was a bit too much traffic for my taste, but there's footpaths that parallel where we went, so I'm going to check those out.
