Ooh lovely. We did a bit of exploration of the back streets in the local town yesterday and it was most jolly. Good luck!6

OK.
* find and order nephew's present - DONE
* buy new premium bonds - DONE
* banks & YNAB - DONE
* washing on (and hung up later when the sun is meant to be out!)
* sow loofah seeds
* fold clothes from bathroom
* put up a couple of pieces of kitchen ceiling plasterboard
Sun is definitely shining now, so I'm going to put some washing on then get outside to potter about a bit.
I've secured us some visitors tomorrow which is great - a lovely excuse to tidy up the garden a bit!6 -
Neighbours over the road just had people turn up they obviously hadn't seen since before their baby was born. There was much laughter, happiness, and taking of photos., I may have shed a little tear from my study!2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8568

Aw, how lovely! 😍😍
We've been to the tip, and a walk round town, and got treats for lunch with pals tomorrow. Just had the text for my first vaccine too! I didn't think they were down to my age group yet but apparently they are. Booked for 17th April 😊7 -
Washing is out too, and almost dry - although the quilt cover did end up on the floor for a while...
Having what I think is my first outdoor cuppa of the year, sitting on the swing seat 😊😊😊 I'd love it if it stayed like this for my whole holiday, but apparently it's going to snow on Monday!6 -
OK. Washing is inside, chickens are nearly in bed, and I've cut and bagged two sacks of garden rubbish. The pots are nice and clear and ready for some new plants, and I've planted out the rose I impulse bought in the village shop a couple of weeks ago.
Tired now, but the garden feels a little bit tidier ready for our pals coming tomorrow 😊
Not doing a big load of prep, but I do want to clean the visitor loo and the area near the back door. Might do that in the morning though...9 -
Morning MSE chums 😊
Sunshine! So far I haven't done anything other than bask in it from the other side of a window... but I've also made pancakes, darned socks, and sewed up a hole that a mouse chewed in Mr Cheery's wheat bag last night 🙄😂 And lost a grand total of £3.41 on the Happy Wheel - £212 for the month now, hope it doesn't drop below £200 else I won't be impressed!
Nothing else financial to report. We are trying a low stress visitor prep experiment today, as opposed to our usual leaving everything too late, running around til the last minute, being slightly stressed when visitors arrive one 😂 We're not doing anything elaborate for lunch - just bought a pizza (which is in the oven now, got to do it in two halves), and also got bread (reduced, but nice stuff), goats cheese, and a bag of salad. And a bought cake, rather than me trying to make one (I'm an unreliable baker 😂 ).
Just finishing my tea, so I'm going to clean the offshot and visitor loo, and maybe do a little bit of light cleaning elsewhere, and the find some chairs to stick in the garden. Weather is utterly glorious so at least we're not going to have to huddle out of the wind!8 -

Hi Cheery!I’ve finally caught up with about 20 pages of your diary! I’m so sorry, you’ve seemed to really have gone through it these last few weeks. Big hugs. But how lovely you have this week off and you get to enjoy the 2 days of nice weather! Happy Belated anniversary too. 4 days a week for work sounds much more cheery and doable. You have so much going on I think it’s a perfect compromise of working/home life. Super well done on the MB and topping up Premium Bonds. And for getting back on the surveys! Anyway need to update my diary too I think!Have a lovely day x8

Thanks RT, and hi Missy, lovely to see you! Sorry you just spent ages catching up on my woes though 😮
Ooh, I'm having a great time cleaning this morning, and I do NOT say that very often!! But it was really getting me down, how grubby and cluttered everywhere was. Hate it, but I've just been in emergency mode for weeks now, and not able to even think of it without despairing. It's been amazing how easy it's been this morning, and I've done loads. I mean, it's hardly a show home, and likely still an absolute tip by some of your standards 😂😂 But I've dusted and hoovered and even wiped down some of the paintwork!
Not everywhere of course - in fact at the minute just the living room and bathroom - neither of which the visitors will be in 😂😂 But I've started on the offshot and visitor loo now, and it is SO nice to just get rid of the detritus that accumulates, give everything a good wipe. We've got the clamp on the last bit of superglue on the freezer door now too, so maybe that'll even be in use soon...
Mr Cheery has made lunch, I've identified the sunniest spot in the garden, and visitors should be here in 50 mins. Not even going to bother cleaning anywhere else as obviously they won't be coming in the house (the separate loo is right by the back door) but it's spurred me on to do the rest of it soon! 😁😁10
