Ha, yes people would always be happy to see you! 😁 Bet there's loads of behind the scenes action - wonder if they're the person who advises about whether to stay anonymous and what to do with your dosh as well?? I'll ask when they ring tomorrow 😁😂😂😂
We had a wildlife frenzy today! Sparrowhawk on the phone wire, several curlews in the field, hare in another field, and we went for a walk and saw a barn own fly out of the abandoned outbuildings at the top of our drive 😍😍 So exciting! We'll know where to look out for it now.
Feel like I need a plan for tomorrow - I'd like to continue with the tidying!
* bike ride
* bit of MBing
* more washing
* friend here for lunch
* weed paths in the veg patch
* might start sorting/decluttering clothes in the bedroom
* maybe one ceiling panel...
That's not a very decisive list!! 😂7 -
Any list is a good list Cherry! 😀4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!5

Definitely - sometimes, the trouble with lists is that they're about ongoing projects, and they end up sounding quite boring, but they actually make a big difference to your life
Absolutely **loving** your wildlife frenzy, by the way, and fancy seeing a hare! Wonderful2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
You're both right of course 😊 And KC, what you say about ongoing projects is exactly it - individual activities might not be that exciting, but the longer term effects make a big difference to your life 😊
Well I am having a LOVELY day 😊😊😊 I very nearly didn't go for a bike ride, thinking that I'd missed the free parking slot (which ends at 9am) - but I told myself to stop being an idiot, paid the £1.50 to park, and have now ordered a parking permit to cover the next 12 months, which means that I can go in the day and at weekends too. Yes, I could cycle from home, but it's hilly, and I'm not fit enough - this way I can park at the old railway trails and they're both off road and flat.
Anyway, did 8 miles this morning, pleased with that!
New local pal came for lunch and it was SO nice to see her! She's not been here before and it's such a lovely day, so we spent three hours just nattering and going for a little walk. Saw some tadpoles in the soggy bit of the field. Hares are actually quite common round here, I saw another one this morning on the way back from my bike ride. I love them, I think I'd only ever seen one or two in my life before I moved here but they're everywhere!
Had yesterday's leftover picnic for lunch, along with some boiled eggs and pease pudding.
Mr Cheery's just had a reminder that he's got a dentist appointment at 9am tomorrow - good, because he needs his tooth fixing, but he'd completely forgotten. I'd made plans to talk to a friend at 10am which is annoying as now I'll have to do that in the car (or on a bench) as we won't be home in time. He could go on his own, but is quite dizzy at the minute, especially in the morning, and it's an hour's drive each way so best not. It's the first day of freedom for the chickens tomorrow, so we won't hang around, we'll get back to let them out.
Anyway, friend has gone, and the weather is distinctly colder from tomorrow, so I'll lazing around on the swing seat taking advantage of the sunshine while I can 😊 Lovely 😊6 -
Most annoyed - had a couple of stupid days with MB, meaning that unless anything else happens today (unlikely) my total for March is at £179.
Not too bad for 'free' money of course. And considering I was in minus figures until about the 12th, not bad at all! But I was at £232 a few days ago so it's a teensy bit annoying!
Still, this is how casino offers go of course, and £179 is not to be sniffed at!
I'll check again later, make sure there's nothing new this evening, then I'll transfer the March total over to the kitchen fund 😊 Full total tomorrow.10 -
Ok. Final MB tally for March is £182 - transferred to the kitchen fund, taking the total so far to £392.67
Not bad at all for a month!!
