All brilliant news, except for the chicken and the medicine
Last day before the holiday, yay.
2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Yay indeed, and I'm ploughing through my list.
Some progress on non-work stuff too. The £11.30 has arrived and been added to the kitchen fund, which now stands at £210.67.
And I finally rang the dentist. Wish I'd done it sooner - I thought they were doing on the day appointments only like the docs, but apparently not. I'm not in pain until I eat, and it's not keeping me awake at night, so I can't see anyone til 6th April 🙄 It fell out well over a week ago and I've just had time for a same day appointment, but if I'd rung then, I'd probably have got in early next week. What a nuisance!
Hey ho. Bessie has now eaten most of her medicine, I suspect throught just being bored and hungry, in the living room, with that being the only food available. Useful tactic, if a little slow!7 -
Morning MSE chums (well, I guess it's the afternoon now!) My first day off work, although it hasn't felt like it just yet, as I had a teensy bit to finish off, as I'd had to wait for some stuff to load overnight, most annoying.
Still, I've had a nice morning so far - met a friend outside a cafe, and we had a couple of cups of tea sitting in the sunshine. How extremely civilised, so very lovely.
Back home now, and I'm just spinning the happy wheel, writing a blog post, and sorting out finances, while I wait for Bessie to get bored enough to eat her medicine-laden treats... Might be here for a while (but at least it gives me a chance to warm up - it might have been sunny outside but it certainly wasn't warm!)
Not sure what else is on the cards today. I'd like to get some more seeds sown, and check what's going on in the greenhouse. The kale looks like it's about to go to seed, so I want to bring the rest of it in, and maybe dehydrate some of it for use later. The washing up needs doing (yawn), I want to fix the puncture on my bike. I could do with ringing a couple of family members, sorting some clothes out, doing some washing. None of this is filling me with glee right now!!
Also, it's our wedding anniversary todayNot that we're doing anything special. It's only been three years, barely anyone knows, and we didn't make a fuss about it at the time, let alone now. Still, it might be nice to mark the occasion in some way - maybe another cup of tea later?!

Thank you all
Not quite sure what to do with myself today! Feel like I'm proper in winding down mode, and literally just want to sit here staring out of the window, and occasionally scrolling through the internet. Done all the MB casino offers for today now - several hours worth, and made a grand total of £2.63Tried to get into a Prolific survey, but it was full. Sun's not shining, and it's just a little bit too chilly to tempt me outside. Mr Cheery isn't feeling well still, and my teeth have started to hurt (after telling the dentist yesterday that they didn't).
Yawn.
Need to do SOMETHING to get my act together! Perhaps tea and toast will help?! Ooh, and the regular saver money arrived - I can do some financial buttling and buy some more premium bonds, hooray!

Happy Anniversary 🍾
I'm not feeling motivated to do much today. I have cut the grass and put a load in the machine. The sun has disappeared and it is getting cooler. We have lit the stove and made a pot of tea to warm us up and hopefully after that I will feel motivated to do something.
My OH is chronically ill and for the last few days, he has been going through a rough patch which is contributing to my low mood.
I have my fingers crossed that Mr Cheery makes a full and speedy recovery.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
