Aw, thanks, hypno! Thats true.... it was difficult to give away my wicker cat baskets when my cats died, but I gave them to a vet who sells them on for charity. They were such a visible reminder of my cats, I had to really hold myself together not to cry in the waiting room. This isn't as emotional, its just that they've been around for such a long time. But never having been worn, its mad, isn't it! You're right. To the charity shop they go, never mind faffing sending them places! Onward and upward... just off to check your diary & find out how you are...

Wow, it really shows how busy the forum is these days - my diary was on page 10, and I posted on it yesterday breakfasttime!!!

    Anyway.... weird morning already:
    - I took the Christmas cards down.
    - put an anorak through the washing machine
    - made my to-do list for the rest of the weekend.
    - am steaming a humongous Christmas pudding I bought yesterday while the kitchen is fairly empty.
    - made a cooked breakfast - sort of - roasted sweet potato and baked beans, I really do like the flavours together!

    What else? :-
    - did the washing up.
    - banked some cheques
    - returned some goods to Bon Marche and Primark. The BM one was cos I bought a top in 2 different sizes so my mum could have whatever size was best for her, but the Primark one.... those T shirts I just bought? I've been excavating my immersion cupboard and my chest of drawers, and I must have about 30 T shirts. I've kept the one thats very long, but the two medium length, I've taken back.
    - bought some garden membrane from Wyevale for £5 - I don't think its very strong, but its big - 13m x 1.2m, hurray.

    And....
    Me v. Tesco, 2-0, I win!!!!

    1. I've been emailing them for days about a voucher (not from here, but sent to me with my quarterly statement) they accepted it for the next shop, then rejected it. I've been objecting, they want a copy (who keeps it after they submit it and are accepted?) and finally thought to ask them why they were rejecting it, since the computer had accepted it. They caved immediately, and have recredited my points.

    2. Tesco 3 month free dvd rental. I already had the 2 week free trial (tho I didn't use it actually) & got this one by using a different email address, tho same name, address and credit card. Then I got worried they'd be sneaky, as above, so I emailed them and told them I'd already had the 2 week offer under a different email addy. And this is what they replied:
"Thank you for your recent email. We can confirm to you that your account has been activated for 90 days
free trial with effect from 02/01/2008 and the next billing date is on 01/04/2008. We would like to inform you that no charges will be debited from your account until your free trial ends."

    Hurray! I win!

I'm currently in the middle of taking the Christmas tree down, have stopped on here, and will be putting Stargate on when Michael Shanks appears again, in the episodes from the start of Season 7. What a nice day... no wallpaper stripping tho, I thought I might do that. Maybe tomorrow.

I take it you mean a coat, and not some poor, hapless train-spotter...

Same kind of day as me then... ;)

Had a look at his picture...

Looks like the illegitimate child of Bradley Pitt and Nicky Cambell...

Hey karma, I'm a small size 12 and would LOVE a batwing jumper, if it's still on offer! If you can bear to keep it til I see you, I would love it and will make a small donation to the charity of your choice. If you need to clear the space, someone in the charity shop will love it just as much.

    Hi folks!

Seaxwyn - absolutely! I'll send you a scan... do I have your email addy? pm me in case. Don't worry about a charity donation, its not really the charity thing, its the getting rid of thing!

Pandapaws - as it comes - I'm in it for the long term, don't worry!

ZTD - no, I definitely victimised a hapless bloke with a bad haircut hanging around the end of a train platform, stuffed him into my washing machine... he squeaked a bit, but it was okay.. :rotfl:

Michael.... hmmm.... I have no idea who those people are - I know Brad Pitt?? It used to feel a bit like cradle snatching, to like him (I turned 16 2 days after he was *born*) - but I've liked him for so long that the difference is getting less. He's become very muscly, but I love him still :cool2: :happylove :happylove :happylove :cool2: ... he's a sarcastic little git as well, in real life, which is fun.

Comeon, tell me, who is your fantasy woman? Fantasies are really important.... :p:o

They'll get you...they go around in flocks. I've heard people driving past saying: "Look at them sad flockers."

Don't really have a fantasy woman - though this did turn my head a little while ago for some unknown reason...

Is that Nigella? Every time I see a picture of her I realise I must do something about my eyebrows. I'm sure it's the Elizabeth Taylor eyebrows that makes her so irresistable.

The bracelet is quite nice too.

It was obviously the large book on her lap, making her look intelligent that got your attention ZTD!

Nicky Campbell - there's a blast from the past!
