Oh, they really do count! I may have mentioned my accounts? :o Just been doing the figures for the mystery shopping, and I started in August last year, slowly of course, my tax year is the same as the official tax year, and I earned £323! I only had one in August and one in September, so thats really only six months' worth - its a low hourly rate in one way, but it *is* worth doing, especially the phone calls in that regard - they're short, no travel time, very profitable.

The little things do add up - not as quickly as the big things its true :rotfl: but they make a difference, for sure. Sorry you're feeling yucky tho, Bob.

Thanks, Panda! There's been some great news coming my way, hasn't there!

I was a little bit disappointed yesterday - it was lovely and blowy, and in the afternoon I went to look at some kitesurfers, as I'd seen them in Ainsdale in the summer with my brother (the new grandad). But cos it was so blowy, they were spread out over a mile or so of sea, rather than just one area, and the main event seemed to be over. Tho, if thats the worst news that comes my way, I'm pretty lucky!

Weather here today is even worse, so I think its an indoors day today - who knows, I might finally make some pasta!

It sounds lovely where you live - am so jealous of you being near the sea!

Good luck with the pasta if you give it a go :D

Thanks for the luck with the pasta!

Where I live ... its not just the events ... sometimes, when I walk out of the house and I've been stressing about paying debts or having enough to live on when I'm in my sixties (not that long for me!) I look around at the greenery, and feel the peace and quiet, and I send up heartfelt thanks that even if I am in this debt struggle, I'm able to do it in such beautiful surroundings. It might not look that way to everyone - I have one middle class client who commented (in relation to something else) how crowded the houses were in my area. Well, not to me they're not, I think I live in a very green bit. Its suburban, which doesn't suit me, but thats so minor compared to other things. After all, those badgers that have a sett in some wildland in the next road up can't be wrong!

Not to get too carried away with myself tho - I'd still rather be living in a penthouse flat in Barcelona! :o

Another week dawns.... its sunny here today, as opposed to the *dreadful* weather yesterday, I didn't go over the doorstep. Didn't do too much either: - free bingo (didn't win!)
    - scratchcard
    - last of the easy listing on amazon
    - printed out stuff for my mystery shop on Friday
    - got a freebie astrological birth chart, which was very good
    - printed out the packaging slip for the cassette I sold on amazon 30m after I listed it.
    - printed out order form from the Daily Mail for the James Bond audio book - going to try to get one for me and one for my brother.

Most of that only took 5 minutes each, tho it looks a long list!

Today, got to get myself in gear a bit more. So:
    - more work on the Accounts.
    - off to the post office to send amazon parcel, Daily Mail thingies and cards. Everything's ready to send.
    - keep checking out the trading. Done.
    - scratchcard. Done - 10p profit!
    - buy The Sun... why did I want to do that? Checked out the newspaper summary, and I'm sure there's a voucher I want...

Thats enough for now. Hope everyone has a good day.

EDIT: oh, bit of housework, vacuuming in the living room, and cleaning the windowsill now I've said bye-bye to the basil plants.

Good luck with today's list - how's the accounts going?

I looked at that astrological chart too, some of it was very accurate, and some of it I wasn't too sure about (or maybe don't want to admit to ;))

    Have a good day x

Oops! Nothing on the Accounts! I am a bad, bad person.... OTOH, the fiddly bits always take longer than you'd expect. And I've swept half the living room, and the hallway (vinyl) and vacuumed the bedroom - a workman will have to tramp through there shortly to finish off the immersion heater, and the floor was *disgusting*. I'm worried that the place has smelt really dusty to clients and they've been too polite, thats how bad it is! Right now, in glorious sunshine, every window in the place is open to air it, and I've washed my hair after (most) of the cleaning. Still got to vacuum and clean the windowsill properly, I'll do that this afternoon.

Not all of that astrological chart was spot on - there was a lot about me learning not to use people - and I really don't think I do that. But a lot of what it said about fear was very good (a la my fear of trading, for instance!) and freedom from emotional bonds. Fascinating.

Are you at work right now? How's it going? I'll hop over to your thread, but feel free to post on here too!

Mine was very accurate re things like perfectionism and being overly critical, but said I was outgoing which is not right at all - will have to give it another read though.

Yep, at work, and currently want to throw things at people..

    - off to the post office to send amazon parcel, Daily Mail thingies and cards. Everything's ready to send. Sent! DM thingies not till I can buy cheapo new jiffy bags to be the s.a.e.s (can't use used ones for that).

Done loads on the accounts, I don't *think* I'll get them done by the end of the month, but I won't be far off. Cleared out my desk drawer too, the *carp* that was in there was amazing.
