A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Hi Karmacat,

I'm sorry that I've not been on much but I have my mum down helping me with the house and the kids etc..

Congratulations on being an Auntie, you get lots of kisses and cuddles.

I will try and catch up on what you've been up to later.

Keep going with the debt :)

Thanks folks! Apparently he looks really lovely. I won't see him till December, I'm afraid, but I'll moan at someone till they email me photos.

I'm up at a really reasonable time for me, managed to stay in bed a bit longer, and feel a lot better for it.... just off to check out all the diaries.

Thanks GTD - I hope to be posting something similar on your thread really soon.

And I *am* chuffed about the upcoming mortgage overpayment - but it would be here a lot sooner if I got myself into gear about matched betting again, for some reason I'm really hanging back - probably cos it means I actually have to *think* :rotfl: :o

Thanks squizz! He won't be a newborn any more by the time I get to see him, but I've just made contact again with his dad on facebook, so I'm hoping for closer contact. I need to be really careful about being dragged into feuding - there's a real tendency in my family for people to feel very aggrieved and affronted, and I'm really not interested, but its a fine line to walk when you're trying not to play that game and just be straightforward.

I haven't actually done the o/payment yet, but its really close. My mortgage payment goes down next month anyway, cos its a tracker, by about £18, and when I make this next o/payment, it will go down another.... £2.70 or so!

I'm also finally off the ground with takeabreak scratchcards - deposited and withdrew earlier this week without playing anything, even the free scratchcard, but have finally sussed it out now, done the first freebie, and won a 50p - now I wait for emails from them apparently, to deposit/prove who I am/fly them to the moon. We'll see. I'm adding butlins money to my October total, since I've already withdrawn some, but not this takeabreak stuff till I see how it goes.

Right, off into town now - about to sort out a broadband deal. As Captain Scott said, I may be gone some time........

  • Wow, lovely news on all fronts. Do you know i was thinking of pulling out of my mystery shop today after feeling yucky, but i thought money is money and now looking at how stuff mounts up i can see all the benefits. The little things do truely count.
Off to try some scratch cards.
