Delivery! Absolutely! But getting a delivery for £5 of fresh food is out of the question now (I'm stocked up to the gills). :o I'm just going to have to be a lot more careful about not being starving when I go shopping. :D

I got 25p from quidco as a monthly payment two months ago! I know how you feel.... :D

  • I am stocked up, but all fresh stuff gone, apart from beans..have loads of them, two courgettes, eggs and leeks. Sounds like a recipe for an exoctic omlette........actually that is not a bad idea.........

Your beans! I'm definitely going to do beans next year. And isn't there a recipe for courgette fritters somewhere? Nigella did one, they looked great- sort of a cross between a veggie burger and those fried potato thingies.

I've *got* to get washed and dressed. Stop me, someone, stop me.... :o

:rotfl: I know its not so bad really, but cows milk and wheat are a bit iffy for me. Ah well.

OTOH, since I shut down mse (ooh, all of 20 minutes ago :D ) I *didn't* get showered etc - I did a 20 minute tidy up - which took in the hall cupboard I'd emptied out, the second bedroom that it was all sitting in, and my own bedroom. As a result, I've chucked out one bag and got a supermarket bag of stuff for a charity shop, I can actually walk into the second bedroom now, and the hall cupboard is rationalised and clean(er). Its been horrible in 2nd bed and cupboard for ages, so this feels great.

Right, I've got to go out in an hour, so I'm *definitely* going to get showered now... after I've checked up on the other threads of this morning....

Wow, that's a lot to do in 20 minutes! Any tips? I'm wallowing in a sea of bits of paper, packaging materials, random things that need to be listed on Ebay and...er...other stuff that I can't even categorize! How satisfying to get that done - bet you feel like doing something else now! Speaking of betting, how are you doing with the MB? I'm thinking of getting back into it again but need a boot up the backside.
  • I like the idea of a 20 minute tidy up..just wish i could do it..once i get going i am hoovering the couch, down the stairs and the curtains:o ..but a good workout and it makes you feel good after as well. My paperwork is hidden in folders and bags of stuff to shred when i have a minute to spare..but now is MSE time:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Panda - well, everything was all over the place cos most of the contents of the hall cupboard (my equivalent of "the cupboard under the stairs") was in there ... so that just needed rationalising and repacking - the carpet sweeper, the wallpaper steamer, that takes up quite a lot of space! Putting shoes back in the wardrobe, that helped. My best tip is that it needs to be *really* untidy, so *anything* you do is wonderful!

Bob, hiya... the paperwork is something else again - non-counselling stuff is all in the living room, and I had to have a sort out last week, cos I just couldn't find things I needed. Another little sort out yesterday - there's a sense of, okay, if there was a fire and I had time to get hold of my laptop, what else would I take to make things easier in the aftermath? It *must* be easier to have your bank details with you! I guess thats one more way I'm really detaching from my everyday life here. I know that sounds barmy!

NOW, I need to do two things:
    - as Panda mentioned, get going on the matched betting - thats the biggest thing I can do to up my income, but because it isn't something that pops up in an email and waves at you, its easy to let it slip. Consider yourself booted up the backside! I have two deals to finish, want to do both of them today. In my new plan of just ticking topics I've done during the week, rather than allocating a day to do something, I've allocated four spots a week to do matched betting - two sterling, and two euro, so today I want to do two of those spots.

    - paperwork. I need to get my accounts done! They're cluttering up the table at the moment, and I really need to get them done - if I don't, like I was really late last year, that impacts on when I can start doing Christmas cards, and means that I don't pamper myself at Christmas so much.
