Well, I've been off today doing two mystery shops in the furthest reaches of my local bus area.... too knackered to do the ballet, but I still have to input one of the shops. I also have a shop for tomorrow, from a company I joined this week - and its in London! 50 yards away from a tube station I'd pass by anyway, so I'm pleased about that.

Did my fresh food shop - £4.10 at Tesco! And that included a naughty of 80p for macaroons. Otherwise, I paid 0.50p for cabbage, .74 for bananas, .68 for cucumber, .69 for tomatoes, and .74 for mushrooms - I'm pleased ith that.

Had a moan to the spread bettor about the horrible update to the charts recently, its *less* inclusive than previously, AND there's something wrong with my download, it has a false signal in between every valid signal. The effect is just to expand the chart across the page, but I can't see as much real data as usual, and its just *irritating*. They can't read my screenshot either, the wallies.

Uh oh, just seen the time, I'm off to bed.

  • Hi KC - well done on the shopping and the mystery shopping!

It is annoying when they update software and make it worse - arghhh!

It *is* annoying - there's not nearly as much flexibility, and the charts have bigger borders, so they're not as big on my screen, all sorts of little niggles like that - I'm *very* unimpressed.

Hey, you've got a proper sig! You didn't used to, did you? Well done, anyway.

Today - got to leave the house just after 10.30 to leave enough time to do that London mystery shop, then its on to my real job, then getting back here at midnight. Then up to London tomorrow for that seminar - I'm speaking, but at least I've done the work. Note to self: never do my normal early start followed by an afternoon mystery shopping, and expect to be bouncy in the evening.... we live and learn.

  • Hi Karmacat,

Thought I'd just pop in and say hello.

Don't work too hard this afternoon and hope the mystery shop is a good one.

Hello! I popped in to mutter some banalities but your thread goes way over my head! Hope the seminar goes well tomorrow. And no skiving off ballet again!

No, thats ZTD and GTD! They go over my head, I felt quite ignorant when they were talking about all that :o

I know I prattle about the trading tho.... sorry :o
Hope the seminar goes well tomorrow.

Thanks! Its only small, just a group of long term acquaintances sitting around a therapy room really, having a chat, and a married couple bring their dog too, which is great fun.
And no skiving off ballet again!

Sorry miss! I was shattered, tho, and I was limping while walking on the street - not good, even tho in the warm of the studio I was fine.

The mystery shop yesterday was fun, tho as the first one its always difficult. No doom and gloom there at all, even being in the City, and I was impressed with the menu too - even as a vegetarian, there was plenty I could eat, *and* there was a gluten free menu!

Right, breakfast and inputting, in that order.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    EDIT:
done the inputting, and there were two things I wanted to add:
    - the diaries were slow yesterday morning (and generally) and I think its because people are really busy! I was still *trying* to waste time yesterday morning, and its only the fact that no one else was posting on the diaries I've bookmarked that let me get to London on time!
    - I'm pleased with the result my fuel economies have had - being careful when I switch the hot water on, switching off even the satellite box etc at the main - when I told Npower I was leaving to go to Scottish Power, I was just over £100 in debit to them (in midsummer!). That was the start of the serious fuel saving. And by the time I left, I was £8.23 in credit, which to give them their due they've already refunded to me. It just goes to show, there's often more savings to be made.

Hi Karma :hello: Mystery shop sounds interesting - where was that? (PM if you like, I know mystery shopping places don't like you talking about what you do too much). Just curious as will have a bit of time in London on the way back from France next month and my friend is on a gluten free diet!

    Have a good day :)

Hi Red! Will pm you. Its a good spot, if quite noisy, but fun. The gluten free menu was separated out into their magazine, but there were loads of items, and its right by a beautiful Wren church that has free organ recitals of a Friday lunchtime where they state you're welcome to bring your lunch, you could even get something to go and listen to the organ recital in a 250 year old church - apparently its the parish church of the Lord Mayor of London, so if Boris needs a photo op, you might even see him there!

What part of France are you going to [wistful expression appears on KC's face, hurriedly schooled away]?

    Thanks for PM!

Off to Lille for the Christmas market at end of November - got very excited when I typed 'next month' there :rotfl:

Must update my diary, I've been one of the quiet ones, but mainly because it's been such an uneventful week!
