Well balanced life? What on earth is that?! :rotfl: Seriously, it's great that you've made a start, but also good that you know when you're not feeling right for it.
Hope the ballet goes well - I think you'll do fine at classes with a bit of knowledge. Whenever I've been to adult classes there's been quite a mixture of abilities and fitness levels!
And ooh - Ikea delivery, is that the new table, or something else?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Its the classic Poang armchair - the S shape - with footstool. I've avoided it for years, cos its in 90% of all rented therapy rooms, but several friends have one too, its become a classic, and I *know* I find it comfortable - I can rest my head, for instance. And I like it! I'll be using it to "sit" for ages, waiting for a trading signal in comfort, which will stop me fidgeting and missing signals. The little table (you have a good memory!) was from ebay, it arrived last week - its to fit over the armchair.
The great thing about the Poang, too, is that it has so little fabric and stuffing in it - great for someone like me with dust allergies.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Poang.... I love Ikea names :rotfl: They are comfy, I had one in an old flat... I hope it helps with your balancednessDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Thanks! Just putting it together now.... really not sure about this - hopefully my mate will be along for the afternoon and she'll take pity on me...
aren't their names weird! :rotfl: :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Poang are wonderful - a real classic. Have fun being comfy and waiting for signals!0

Thanks! I agree, a classic design. Sat and nattered with mate - chair is now in two bits, the body and the legs, I better put them together!
She's planning on going abroad again as soon as she can.... oh I want to get *out* of here.... I've got itchy feet now. There should be a smiley with little boots on tramping up a mountain to watch a sunrise, thats where I want to be!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi KC - congrats on making the trade!

Aargh, made the same old mistake this morning - little signal on ftse at 0805, big signal at 8.05 on the currency I watch at 8.20 and I didn't believe it would happen. Silly, silly person. Pots of money left on the table, as they say - £9 on the little trade, £25 on the big one. Silly silly silly. What on earth is the point of backtesting and live paper trading if you don't then act on the result? The pressure's off me, cos now I get to keep that NatWest money - well, my currency pair and the Dow are open on Monday, I'm going to work then.
Otherwise, I'm off to London today, to work, and I want to do a matched bet, wash my hair and put the washing machine on before I go. Better check online banking too. Try to ring my electrician for the water thingy ding?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Natwest money is always good..have a nice day in London.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks Bob! London won't be particularly nice, I'll be working the whole time, but hopefully I'll stay dry. I decided recently that I won't be walking back at night any more, I've just heard about over a dozen attacks since March on women late at night in my town. But really can't afford the taxi like I used to, so I've checked the buses and the one that goes to the end of my street more or less connects with my train, so I'll be getting that tonight.
Otherwise, haven't started the list yet, but realised I'd better buy my train ticket to see my mum in the 2nd week September. Very   experience. I've left it too late to get the very cheapest seats both ways, but still managed to get £26.50 cheaper than the saver fare, so not bad. But all ways to pay are now charged for - got the cheapest, the print-out-at-the-station one, for 50p, and a debit card, also 50p. Its not right tho! Barstewards. I went through quidco, but 1% on £53.50 isn't going to make me rich! :rotfl:
Right, off to put the washing machine on, at least.
EDIT: oh, the worst bit, on The Trainline: collect a £10 voucher for your next ticket - very nice. Except that they asked me for a card number, so I started to read the small print - after 30 days, you start paying £9.50 a month to some shopping site that basically does what quidco does, but for £9.50 a month! Barstewards.
DOUBLE EDIT: I washed bedding yesterday, checking it for dryness this morning, and its got soap powder flaking off it! I put too much in the machine, grrrr, elementary my dear Watson - I'll have to run it through again once this load of clothes has gone through. Why do we make such work for ourselves?
TRIPLE EDIT: just sent an email to a local ballet school asking about joining an adult returners class. I'm not getting much done off the list, but this is a good one!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
