Right, August challenge:
10 - lightspeed voucher, spent on S10 Stargate (not arrived yet!)
23.50 - profit from £25 jaxx freebie.
5 - spreadbetting profit from Wednesday!
43 - paid into my account a couple of days ago for mystery shopping.
81.50 TOTAL.
Hopefully I'll do at least two more matched bets before the end of August, that will bump it up a bit. Otherwise, thats fairly bad!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
 ggrrr re wasps. They keep making nests in our loft.
Yesterday, while at work  I received a survey from ciao, whom I quite like as I get Amazon vouchers. And I got through the first level without being screened out. But it said this survey will take 35 min  for 10p  :eek:0 -
 I hate ciao, they have weird amounts - some surveys promise £2-3, and loads of others are 10p - I just delete the 10p ones without even looking at what they are, no way I'll make that effort for 10p. You've just reminded me tho - I have a yougov alert for a survey for 75p, and they *never* screen you out - they may time you out, if you don't do it in time, but they never screen out.
The wasps are coming in this year cos I've let a shrub with berries grow too close to the living room window I keep open - it might even be a worker bee for all I know, it wasn't very brightly coloured, I must sayMakes me feel even more stupid! :rotfl:

At least all yours is coming in Karma - not being thrown away....
That is a good profit on Jaxx - must learn to read the rules of what I am betting on! :rolleyes:0 -
Oh sweetie! Its a blip - I had one last month with blockbuster, let myself get charged after a freebie trial. And Hypno did the same thing, I think with blockbuster also.... we can't do 100% all the time, just what we *can*.... Hmm.... I should listen to myself!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Oh I did the DVD rental thing too... Was so annoyed with myself but considering how much 'free' money I've gained I'm still inpocket so not too bad, but it did feel a waste at the time. I soon got over it in the great scheme of things though.
Karma I think your 'extra' earnings where pretty impressive considering I haven't made any this month so well done you.

I know - you are right! Just frustrating as so avoidable with a bit more care. But I was rushing to get through to the next thing! Lesson learned (or should that be learnt? I never know!).

So even from us experienced people, they've made £60!!!! No wonder they're still in profit!Karma I think your 'extra' earnings where pretty impressive considering I haven't made any this month so well done you.

Thanks KM! Sorry you've not made the extra....Lesson learned (or should that be learnt? I never know!).

My quidco cashback now stands at over £1000 so although annoying not to have cancelled that dvd thing, again in the bigger scheme of things, quidco is my friend!!
Re the expense for the boiler/plastering thingy you were talking about the other day, KC, at least you are now making the savings elsewhere ie the water bill, to cover the cost - you can do the work without increasing expenditure or debt massively whereas if you had stayed on water rates you would now be looking at having to find extra money.

That is how I feel Hypno, I've made £850 from Quidco so I can take the Dvd rental mistake on the chin and I've learnt from it. Quidco is great, even the ones I have had to put queries in for have come through for me so no complaints here.0
