Oops - got distracted on here, and about 40% of the biccy mix is burnt beyond recognition, the rest is badly singed :o:o I have a cookery O level too. Mind you, I only stopped burning my ordinary meals recently when I started using my watch timer to remind me to go out to the kitchen. I guess I'll have to do that with baking .... dumb not to, really :D

Tastes pretty good tho, if itwasn't burned! Don't know about the cheese straws yet, don't think I'll have room :D I may have to go sit on the settee and eat my way through this lot.

Of course, one thing I haven't mentioned over this weekend is that I've spent hours, literally hours, trying to marry up my betdaq and moneybookers accounts, so that I can start using them to do euro matched betting, and help fund my French mortgage payments. I've finally done it - it was pop up blockers that were doing it, particularly from stopzilla. I can't tell you the relief - I thought I was going to have to do all of my euro stuff from the library or something, which would put a *real* crimper on my style!

I *definitely* deserve a glass of wine. Just a shame that cooking didn't actually work....

Sounds Yum, who cares what it looks like.

I'm sorely tempted by the idea of cheese straws, wine & the sofa......

This is a combination of my weekend lists and plans for the next few months. Its a long one!

    Weekend List.
    - online banking check, including moving money around to update August £10 a day challenge - my sig still shows July, I haven't had much to show for August. done English, not French. 10.45, done French too.
    - food shopping, prob Tesco, maybe Asda. Tesco, spent £9.21, pleased at that.
    - check out Topcashback - they'd put my account into dormancy, and I have £1.92 there :rotfl: is it worth trying to do anything there? not done - unless they have a bookie worth doing, I'll let it slip again.
    - research electrical earthing and the immersion heater - it looks like the earth to my house might have to be updated, since it was built just before 1966, so the savings from the water meter will be eaten up for the first year. nope.
    - two matched bets, hopefully this morning, one in sterling, one in euros, already know which bookies. did one, in sterling, but spent about 6 hours (truly!) trying to fund my euro betting exchange. Now done - stopzilla popup blocker was the villain of the piece.
    - put dried washing away (what do you mean, iron it first?) done
    - empty floor of airing cupboard so the builder can look at the leak on Wednesday. just a couple of cushion covers sat there, so almost done. done
    - quick vac of bedroom floor, cos of said builder having to walk through :onot done at all!
    - keep an eye on the trading from 1.30pm this afternoon. decided not to, wanted a break.
    - clean the bathroom (its a bit grotty, not very nice to be in there right now). nope!
    - baking! I started munching on the cooking chocolate I bought the other day, and thats no good - if I bake, it will be healthy! And cheaper! yes! But rubbish - either burnt or in the wrong holders, so nothing edible can be taken out of the house, which was the plan. Will try again tho, with more knowledge!
    - surveys too, I didn't finish them all last night. Am in middle of, too! done.

    August Challenge.
August challenge, £81 total, made up as follows:
10 - lightspeed voucher, spent on S10 Stargate (not arrived yet!)
    23.50 - profit from £25 jaxx freebie.
5 - spreadbetting profit from Wednesday!
43 - paid into my account a couple of days ago for mystery shopping.
    Plus:
    10 - Valued Opinions voucher
    22.14 - SJ net profit.
14.76 - overpayment: average capital repaid over life of loan less actual capital repaid this month.
    New total: £127.90

    Current Loan Repayment.
I'm desperate to repay this loan, about £6500, and for the first time I've realised I *can*. And hypno's finishing off the egg card and the other thing a couple of months ago made me realise it *can* be done. The loan is tax-efficient, cos I can claim against the interest, but that is lessening as the amount of capital increases, and I don't care, I want it *gone*. So I can repay as follows:

974.00 first spreadbetting account, which I can now close.
272.17 already in loan repayment account.
23.50 profit from jaxx freebie, to be t/f from A&L to loan account.
22.14 profit from SJ freebie, ditto.
14.76 overpayment this month: average capital repaid over life of loan less actual capital repaid this month.
1306 actual amount available NOW for repayment, leaves £5194 to find.

    Future Loan Repayment.
120 - sitting with quidco and greasy palm if they ever get their acts together and pay me.
    650 - regular repayments over 5 months, August-December.
    400 - £100 per month matched betting.
50 - selling stuff - amazon, ebay, preloved, whatever - altho its the small one, this is a biggie, cos I haven't done any for months, and only ever on amazon.
    150 - mystery shopping - we'll see!
50 - overpayments total Sept-Dec, as per the 14.76 above.
    1390 total.

1306+ 1390 = 2696, leaving £3804 still to find. Okay, thats the sum thats going to come from trading! I've decided, and thats how its going to be. I'll be easing up towards my figure of 20 points a day, at £10 a point, over the next six weeks (two of which I'm on holiday). No messing around now, I'm tired of being in debt, and living in a house thats slowly crumbling around me. Hypno has inspired me, she'll be in her lovely new house to watch the London Olympics, I will be living near Barcelona and over here temporarily, staying with a friend in Docklands. Yep, thats the contract with myself.

I will! I'll be going to the ballet class, or some other dance class, for sure.

Oh... the other thing is, I'll be doing the same again on matched betting in euros, so I don't have to keep on paying out to subsidise the French mortgage.

    Si!

Granada would be fine too - possibly better, as I'm used to living in holiday towns.... been to both, loved both. And even tho French would be more useful, cos of my apartment in France, I *love* Spanish, I love the culture. Came back from a week in Granada speaking enough Spanish to alter a railway ticket, so I'm confident I could live in the real Spain.... come visit!

Still to do from that list this morning:
    - research electrical earthing and the immersion heater
    - euro matched bet, hurray.
    - quick vac of bedroom floor
    - clean the bathroom - thats a slow job, cos a big one, thats okay.
    - and this afternoon I *will* be working the trading - tho the Dow may well be quiet, it was such a big day yesterday....
