Ooh yeah I nearly got caught by the Trainline thing too, very sneaky!
That's great news on the ballet classDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thanks for the tip off on trainline - will warn OH about that. We use trainline a lot!0
-
Thats a naughty trick from trainline, isn't it!
I'm just fossicking about the net, this site included, checking out the possibilities for the whole earthing thing. And the hot water tank is leaking, and I think its been leaking so long I think its blown the plaster underneath it a little bit. My own fault for not maintaining this house for so long....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I want to do a matched bet, wash my hair and put the washing machine on before I go. Better check online banking too. Try to ring my electrician for the water thingy ding?
Hmm... that was my list yesterday, and actually I did all of it except the matched bet in the end - tho online banking was only my main account, and it was in the bank on that Info machine that hsbc have. So fairly chuffed about all that.
Right.... today, been mooching about on some threads, and having quite a laugh :rotfl: s'good'ere, innit?
Okay, so I had loads of time yesterday offline & did a big to-do list in my paper diary, but this is the dfw stuff to do over the next few days:
- online banking check, including moving money around to update August £10 a day challenge - my sig still shows July, I haven't had much to show for August.
- food shopping, prob Tesco, maybe Asda.
- check out Topcashback - they'd put my account into dormancy, and I have £1.92 there :rotfl: is it worth trying to do anything there?
- research electrical earthing and the immersion heater - it looks like the earth to my house might have to be updated, since it was built just before 1966, so the savings from the water meter will be eaten up for the first year.
- two matched bets, hopefully this morning, one in sterling, one in euros, already know which bookies.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Go for it karma - inspired to go off to make my own list!0
-
Hurray! Listmaking is *good* - tho I'm making sure I have a day out tomorrow somewhere (closeish) - I need to get out and about a bit, & I'll have fun in town today as well, hopefully. Wha' choo doin'?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hello, it seems like a listy sort of day! Re cashback sites, I think unless you buy plenty of stuff through them, or can be bothered doing all the daily clicks, it's not always worth being a member of many. I feel like I've exhausted the free stuff on Quidco etc, though I am trying to make the effort to 'click' everything possible.. it's mindnumbing!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Just checked out where and how much money I've got, and its up from last month, thank you universe!
I *will* pay that loan off. Sometimes I get so caught up in trying to earn an extra fiver or so here there and everywhere, and the below par state my house is in, I forget that compared to a lot of people, I'm still okay, and as long as I can just keep going I'll be fine (uh, as long as we don't go to war with Russia or anything really stupid like that). Seeing my friend recently reminded me of that too, that I'm okay.
I really do forget that - thats why I'm going to go to the ballet class, and why I'm going to *try* to keep up with the Single and in Debt thread on this forum - I really need to connect with other people in that situation, and tho I've posted on that thread once, can't make it back there.
Okay, back to the figures for a bit - updating sig etc. Normal service resumes....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I know what you mean squizz, its like pulling teeth!
Hey KC, only so many hours in the day...i try and catch up with things in between, and am guilty of reading thinking i will post then getting distracted and then having a conversation..very much like that in real life as well..ho hum!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Yep, I think topcashback might need to go dormant again, I don't even know how much it has to be to get a payment from them. If its a fiver, I might join a bookie through them, if not, I guess its forget it.
And yes, the whole hours-in-the-day thing. Not helped by running out of the living room while a wasp has its wicked way for a little while.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
