Thats interesting, both points - about Cuba and about testing, hmmm.

The last time I went to Greece, there was a huge difference from the last time, one form of solar power or another was quite common (I rarely stayed in hotels in Greece, I did that thing of turning up and bargaining for a local room, so I saw how local people lived). We could do an awful lot more in this country.

And I'm going to look into the testing thing!

Got to go now, working again soon...

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. ~Eleanor Roosevelt

This is bunnyinthelights' current sig. Its so beautiful, I had to put it on my thread so its here permanently - for me, with the attempts at trading, fear is always an issue, and this is lovely. No wonder Americans used to revere Eleanor Roosevelt, if this is the handle she had on the world.

Right. Back to business, in spite of the fact that I haven't had my breakfast yet. This is today's list:
    - two mystery shops this morning, I've got to go out to them, for a change.
    - input data on another after the post has been.
    - paid work in p.m.
    - check online banking.
    - buy oats and potatoes while I'm out.
    - do the washing up. My efforts at saving on fuel took a bit of a knock last night - I left the living room light on overnight, oops. Must try harder.
    - gardening! Yay!

Have already done my virtual trading (one trade, 21 points net profit), and nabbed another mystery shop - I'm doing *four* tomorrow, all visits. When I get to £300 on the extra money, its going off the loan, I've decided. Speed the day.

    Have a good one, all.

   Silly cow! I'm doing too much - I took out a free 2 week trial with blockbuster, and didn't diarise when it ended, so they've only gone and charged me £14.99!!!!!! I am *so* annoyed with myself.

    Hi Karma -

Grrrrrh to the blockbuster thing - that sort of thing always happens to me so I am now very cautious about these short term offers! Sorry you have been charged. Any way you can claim it back?
But on the whole other things sounds pretty positive which is great. Thanks for the offers of references - so that is hypno and karma @ MSE? Brill. :D

Hi mizmir - I don't see how, to be honest - I could try, actually, tell them I wasn't going to join because I haven't had time to watch the films (I've only watched two, its true!) and because of the same lack of time, I'd lost track of when the trial started. Didn't think of doing that! Thanks! Even if they don't, I'll have tried. It *was* a short trial, you're right - its the not putting it in my diary thats killed me.

Things are going well on the whole, thats true - quite a few mystery shops (I always feel that I've done it wrong and won't be paid, but it hasn't happened yet!) but I haven't done as much of my list as yesterday. No oats and potatoes, no online banking, no gardening, and only half the washing up (oops, and all the pans are dirty! I couldn't cook if I wanted to right now!).

You know I really should be more grateful for still coping!

Hi Bob, thanks - I did feel a bit down about it, but OTOH it was a greasypalm thing that tipped me over their payout limit.

Its also useful for the virtual trading - the Blockbuster whoopsie was a loss of £15, which is about the size of loss that I'd suffer when a trade went wrong (and they always do, no one gets 100% right). And it *really* isn't the end of the world. All the info just keeps adding up, thats how I look at it.

Yesterday, managed to do all the washing up (new fuelsaving thing - I only heat the water once every two days now, and put my watch alarm on for when to switch it off!), and did get out into the garden again for half an hour, sweeping up lots more growth, and lots more weed seeds. I did feel a bit overwhelmed by it, tho, I must say. Its so big, and seemingly so fertile, which should be a good thing!

Well, anyway. Got round to checking my French bank account, and I don't need to send any money over again, a rent payment is coming in a week before the next mortgage payment. Its only that stupid service charge that takes me over the necessary amount anyway grrrrrrrrr. Might still need to send money, tho, as I'm not sure I've got the money there to pay the mortgage and fees *and* open matched betting accounts in euros. And the English tax bill is due later this month, and while I can pay it, that account is looking very, very low. Things are starting to get a bit tight.

Today is a whole load of mystery shopping, I'll be out for hours (only one bus ticket between the lot, and less travelling time from the house, so more per hour, hurray. Off now!

Erk  Well, first time ever, I decided on the hoof not to go through with a mystery shop. The road isn't on my A-Z, which must mean its very very new or they've got it wrong, so I'll have to tell them and offer to de-allocate myself. I timed things a little bit badly, but the thing is, the weather out there is *horrendous* - more like winter than autumn, even, and I'm not used to having to be outside when I don't have to be, not even for a commute!

However I got down to the sea, tra-la! Even in the vileness that is currently the south coast of England, it was wonderful!

When I next have a house move, I'm going to have to be no more than ten minutes walk from the sea, I keep forgetting how invigorating and blissful the sea is. Sigh.... :j :j :j (thats a happy sigh!)

Ooh lucky you! Think the sea always makes you feel better.. I live about as far away as you can get from it now so appreciate it even more when I do get there.. :)
