Karmacat: I'm passionate about my DFW journey to riches

Hiya!
Started off a bit iffy yesterday - nearly missed the trainand then when we got to where I normally change to go onto the tube, the platform was empty, except for 4 members of staff yelling at our driver to get the train out of the station. An alarm blaring "this is an emergency, evacuate the station" doesn't help either  after that it went pretty smoothly tho
So today, my list is:
- free CPD in town, so I can legitimately claim my bus fare against expenses!
- food shopping - Sainsbury is nice and close to the CPD and to my bus stop home.
- TAKE SOMETHING TO EAT. This grocery challenge is going to be a complete bust unless I take more food with me when I have to be out of the house for so long, spent .93 on oatcakes and then .99 on a sarnie at the station on the way home - managed to fill my flask tho, so no tea! I *must* cook some treats on Thursdays.
- retrieve my money from b365 - I won't do the last part of the freebie on offer, I know that now - I'm trying to study the horseracing, but I won't be comfortable with it in time to start m.b.ing on it, so I might as well take the money back.
- research new ISA provider. Northern Rock's promised loyalty bonus turns out to be a princely £1.95, I'm serious  so they can go take a jump, I'll find Martin's recommendation and go with that.
- gardening!!! And more gardening! Earlier this week, I almost reached my stash of wood chippings at the top of the garden, and I *did* find where I put all the corks I'd saved - they're up there too, waiting to be added to the bark chippings (well, they're biodegradable, it'll add interest, won't it?:rotfl:

We use corks as fire-lighters for the barbeque - I mean *used* to use. I never bother with a barbeque nowadays, it was always OH's joy. But that means I can use a carrier bag full (:o old soaks here) to mix with the shredded stuff in among my shrubs? I suppose I'd better weed there first then.
This rain PaH! the carrots and leeks need weeding AGAIN :eek:0 -
And what about the trading..?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
OliveOyl - I wasn't going to compost them, I was going to spread them with the bark chippings on the "live shaded patio" under some trees. You know the 80 litre bags of bark chippings? Those. There are quite a few odd things like that - old tiles etc - that I've stuck up there, I think it adds texture. Ahem - I'm an old hippy really, I suppose, tho at the young side of all that!
ZTD - I can't get away with anything with you can I? :j Not that I want to. Thank you! Thursday night, I looked through all the technical chart setups I'd saved - a history of those virtual trades I do every day. And I got really scared, that flash of panic that shoots up, have you ever had that? But it was for a weird reason - I know this stuff, inside out.
Signals fail, yes, of course, but I recognise the signals. All I need to do is press the button. Read something in my trading psychology book today that absolutely describes me; this is the "central dilemma of trading psychology: At the same time that traders need to dampen emotional reactions that skew information processing, they need to be sensitive the felt tendencies that capture their implicit knowing" (he's talking about trained instinct, basically, in that last bit).
I know my stuff. I have the concepts from my own insights and from my reading to be able to control the fear of trading if I really want to. The only thing left is to do it - dive in the water, press that button for the first matched bet, ask the boy to dance, hand the boarding pass to the stewardess.
On Monday, I have a big long chunk of time between sessions - 4pm to 8.30, when the Dow is open. I'm already making excuses not to do it as I'm typing this, but even if I get down to my last tenner of the money thats in the trading pot, it will be worth while, because if I can turn it around, there's a ton of money to be made.
Sorry everyone - I know this is a bit off topic, off centre sort of thing, but this isn't just about being dfw, its about "my journey to riches".
Anyway, enough about me (:o well, I know its my diary, but still....) how you doing? You were waiting for the weekend... you having/had a good one (depending on when you read this?)2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Evening KC... there's so much to think about with the trading.. the way you talk about it, you can tell you have a talent and such enthusiasm for it - I'm honestly astounded at the amount of work you've put in, so I really hope you can make that step forward... no I KNOW you will, when you're ready, and I can't wait to read about it.

ooh yes, nagging squad sounds good!
Thank you for your comments, I do appreciate them. Glad it sounds like I know what I'm talking about - I think I do, but I just don't get why the trading triggers the same fear as the flying phobia. Ah well, I actually don't care, as long as I can beat that manifestation.... bring on the nagging squad. :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I could work on it.....the end result may not be pretty though....you have been warned!!
As for trading. charts, buys and sells - you could take my tried and tested professional method on which I have based a long and successful career.........watch Declan on bbc breakfast news, get a pin and stick it in the FT, cross your fingers very tightly, and the law of averages says that you get it right 50% of the timeSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground.
