In other news :D this is my list for today:
    - ring one of the mystery shops I did yesterday, correcting my contact details. Oops. done
    - finish drafting a letter for work - pretty easy, that one, thats okay. done
    - free bingo - done the first lot. done and doing, so to speak!
    - nectar competition, anything else *really* easy that I can get my hands on, maybe a survey or so. almost forgot, but this is the last one - still a few more surveys to do, mind!
    - more oops, haven't downloaded my emails yet. done, contacte one person about a meeting.
    - eat breakfast! yep, done that too, onto my 2nd coffee now.
    - do washing up. well of course not! This is me!
    - I *need* a treat... might have to do some cooking  ... no eggs... oaty biscuits? I'm now storing my mixing bowl at a more accessible height, which is scary. I'm not *supposed* to be domesticated! :D
    - have been doing virtual trading, 8 points profit, not much going on cos of interest rate announcement at midday.

  • Hi Karma

The trading stuff goes completely over my head but obviously not over yours so at the risk of sounding stupid (coz I have no idea what I am talking about) would you be willing to risk your MS money that comes in and then your are not playing with your 'work work' money, just keeping a pot that you are willing to 'risk'? OR do you need shed loads of money to start as opposed to a £300ish pot to get started?

See I told you I didn't know what I was talking about, but there was part of me that wanted to push you to get started on this, you seem to be knowledgable about it and spend alot of your time on it so I thought you deserved a little 'risk pot'?

oaty biscuits... if I do 'em, I'll post the recipe.

KM: omigod, what a wonderful idea!!!!!! I wouldn't even need to transfer the money over, and I'm sure through all the little moneymaking schemes, I've made around the amount I already have sitting in the spreadbetting account. Thats the thing, you see - the money I would trade with is already in my spreadbet account, has been for a couple of years. It currently accounts for about 6.5% of my total cash (not counting investments, house equity, blah blah). And at any one time, because I hover over the computer screen like a demented hawk, only about £20 is at risk at any one time - as I said, more or less what I lost cos I was stupid about Blockbuster.

Just after my 9.15 post, incidentally, my system showed a good trade, that lasted 45 minutes, that would have got me another 29 points. 29 + 8 = 37, @ £10/point, thats £370 going begging for a home. I'd be trading at about £1 a point, but even so, thats the July challenge for nearly 3 days!

I was thinking yesterday (rushing to the bus stop in all that rain) the universe is trying as hard as it can to give me money, and all I need to do is stretch out my hand. And you're right, I *have* worked at it, I spend a fair old amount of time, even now, doing it (tho not the dratted mindfulness CD!). Life is very strange.

It is so sweet of you to take this on board and think about it, I really appreciate it!

Still haven't done *all* the washing up, but a fair bit, and Bones is on, so its going to go hang for now. However, I've done more! As follows:
    - about threequarters of an hour in the front garden, cutting back shrubs and chopping up the bits to put in the bin. You can hardly see where I've been, but I'm pretty sure it will add up.
    - am printing out selected bits of the matched betting guide to horse racing. The warnings are a bit scary, but I have to get my act together.
    - I cleaned the bath! I don't write much about cleaning the bathroom, because I don't actually clean it very much, so I'm v happy about this!

Not much going on today for me in dfwland, the long day looms. Won't be doing much more than the nectar comp entry, check online banking, possibly a survey. Hope everyone has a good day.

You say you won't be doing much in dfwland but remember that all those little things ARE what adds up to the big successes - just as your gardening will.

Hope you have/have had a good day (depending on when you read this!)
