There’s been a c0ck up at head office and our pay hasn’t gone in. Should be here by Tuesday. I should be ok.
Managed to get the first row of blocks in yesterday. I need to find some motivation and move some blocks over. OH is off again on Tuesday so it would save him some time if I can get my @rse in gear!

So the highlight of my day has been cleaning the fridge! I need another job. I’ve sort of measured out for a polycarbonate tunnel which OH wants to build and I’ve sent an email re polycarbonate to find out what thickness they recommend. I stone picked a couple of areas but stopped as my back wasn’t liking it. Should get it finished tomorrow. Will need to get Daisy digger to move some as I couldn’t prize them out.
Did trot up to next door neighbours and had a couple of cheeky Proseccos which was lovely and impromptu.
Defrosted a curry for tea and put some chicken to marinade for tomorrow nights tea (butter chicken).
We did go to badders on Friday night, OH said he’d go again.

Just dawned on me today that we go away a week on Thursday. Spent most of the morning trying to squadge my ample derrière into holiday clothes. Then went down a rabbit hole looking at sale clothes on Roman…..delivery on Wednesday.
Had a lovely long chat with sister in law haven’t spoken to her for ages. She’s hoping to come up for the event of next year OHs 60th party bash.
I did load the barrow with blocks ready for the next row, however the bitey bar stewards were out in force. By the time OH got jome it was raining so decided to have a night off. Tomorrow I am going to be motivated and give the house a bloody good clean. Typically OH is off on Tuesday.
Need to track where my alloy is. That cost £200+ to repair but cheaper than a new alloy. I’m hoping it’s heading home to us.

Gosh today has been 4 million hours long!!! The alloy saga still rumbles on but I’m hoping the end is in sight. Hopefully back to garage here on Friday then tyre put back on on Monday then OH can collect it and stick it back on the car.
OH managed to get a couple more layers of blocks on. We were supposed to be back filling with stone tonight but I think the weather has other ideas.
DD1s chosen house has got sstc on the listing and money is going out so I’m assuming it’s progressing ok.

Early start yesterday as had to be at the hairdressers for 9. Called in to get done hydraulic oil and grease for the digger. The oil was £99 +Vat for 20L. As the chap was scanning an old bar code the price on that sticker was £44 that was this time last year, so thanks Trump for that increase!!

Tried to order another 2 pallets of blocks but couldn’t remember if they were 4 or 6” and OH wasn’t answering his phone. I was annoyed as he had it on him and it connects to his hearing aids so I’m pretty sure he knew it was ringing and possibly should’ve known it was urgent as I tried 7 times. His reply was phone on Monday. Cheers pal! I wanted to pay on cc as I can get the points if I phone I have to pay by BACS. Called in at the garden centre as I wanted to check the feasibility of creating a lavender bed in this climate. The young lad was on and before I got to my burning question I asked him if he knew of anywhere that hired scarifiers. He asked what’s a scarifier? At that point I knew the lavender question was doomed so I left.
I was a very grumpy L by the time I got home.

Did some more block work and got 1 block left. Decided to call that it as it would’ve meant mixing some more cement. Need to pack everything away before we go on holibobs.
It’s quite windy today. I’ve got a couple of cuttings that need potting on. I did tidy my wardrobe this week. Very satisfying. I’ve got a couple of cupboards of doom that need sorting. I might do one today. I also sorted out the bookshelf and managed to get our photo albums on it that have been in a box since we moved in. It was lovely looking through them all and I could spam the chaps with embarrassing baby photos!

I have no idea what a scarifier is- but I don't garden nor work in a garden centre!

So well done on sorting out your wardrobe. I just can't get to grips with mine

I love a wardrobe clear out, always satisfying. I read somewhere that the average person wears 20% of their wardrobe 80% of the time and it was true for me in the past.

With ‘maybe’ items I stack them in a pile and wear them in order… if I skip past the same item 3 times when I could have worn it (weather depending etc), I get rid of it. It definitely focusses decision making ☺️
