Not sure I’ll get to play with it. I’m never allowed on the gadgets!! I’m not sure if it’s the inner mercenary in me but always fancied having a play with a nail gun……

Managed to finish the row of bulbs I was planting. Still got loads to go in but that’s not going to be today as the weather is dreich, dire, !!!!!!. I’ll be lucky if I manage to take the bin for a walk! Might save that for when OH is home and sit in the boot of Gary Golf and drag it up.
Glad we got this section of blockwork finished last night, as nothing will be done today due to weather.
Need to price up damp proof lining stuff not sure what the technical term is but we need it to line the raised beds. That’s on the list for tomorrow. Also need to check if the raised beds need painting with some bitumen type paint before putting damp proof lining stuff in. Need to check what the correct ratio is for mixing the render and make sure we’ve enough cement. Then need to find the pit of gold to pay for it all. After all this rain there must be a rainbow 🌈 somewhere!!

The on going bulb saga. Past me was obviously drawn to all the pretty pictures. Past me also thought giant snowdrops marvellous! Past me thought giant snowdrops grow 30cm max! Present me read the blurb and these things are ruddy triffids, snowdrops on crack cocaine. They grow to 50-70cm!!! If I put them in the front of the border as planned everything else is going to have an inferiority complex!! If I plant them in the lawn I’m going to have to put GPS trackers on the dogs so I can find them!! I’ve got 75 of the bu&&ers to plant. But not today

Wowsers, that's a big b*gger of a snowdrop! They'll look stunning though, I'm sure inspiration will strike as to where will best suit. If their peak is around Feb, where has nothing much going in that it'll warm your cockles to see? Might look nice with some plain fairy lights to help disperse the end of winter gloom?

Boiler has finished its strike action and is back up and running. It was air locked. Not sure how. At least there was no mouse action happening. OH was paid today and already spent a fortune. Paid and picked the pick up up, got some antifreeze for the digger and grease, 2 bags of mutt food and some special fuel to use in the mower when it goes into hibernation.

They’re a bit sore today, played badders last night and spent most of today in wellies, which don’t give me much support. Had to be in wellies as I was continuing the nightmare that is bulb planting, which means I stand in the stream to do it. I have finished this o erroneous task except for the triffids aka snowdrops. Still pondering my options on where to put them.
OH has put the new parts on the digger and has been out Diggering. He ended up doing the wacker plate job as it was just easier. He’ll drop that back tomorrow on his way home.
I really need to bath and brush one of the hounds so hope it stays dry for the brush bit.

Played pickle ball on Tuesday. On the way home had to brake very quickly and nearly gave OH concussion from the windscreen. Had to brake because there was a hedgehog crossing the road. I could feel OH glaring at me afterwards but at least prickles was ok!

I think I’ve got a plan on where I’m going to plant the triffids aka snowdrops. That’ll be a weekend job weather dependent.
Hopefully managed to get some huge cable reels, these will be used as beer tables for the party. Borrowing a trailer off a friend to collect them tomorrow. Debating whether I paint them

Wages in and gone again. Waiting for my tax code to change now I only have 1 job. Moved my second job pension into job 1s pension.
Have my eye on a new job and in the process of applying. If successful it’s full time and I’ll have to commute. Closing date is 11th

Love big cable reels as tables. If you have time at least give them a bit of a sanding and wood protector paint so you can get a few more years use out of them
