Thanks Peb. So my thoughts so far are the following:
Beef bu&&er off
Lasagna
Shepherds pie
Chicken & chorizo
Sticky honey and chicken
Fruit crumble
Lemon drizzle cake
Apart from the sweet stuff I’ve done a meal plan so that we have these meals and I bulk cook them. I need to get some containers and a couple of ingredients but most of it I have in the freezer. Just need NNDN to confirm if we’re going swimming on Saturday as I can get the bits then or if not fit it in tomorrow when I’m out and about.

They made it home yesterday but still not had confirmation of what they are calling her. I will be able to get the bits and bobs I need today do tomorrow I can start the cooking session.
A busy shift at work last night with 30 covers. A curveball thrown in my direction as they are thinking about not serving food on a Sunday, which will mean I lose that shift. I do think it’s a bit early in the season to cancel that day. I did say I would potentially have to rethink my position if that was the case. I do wonder if I took a holiday cottage on it would make up the difference. It’s a case of watch this space!

I forgot to mention, the quote came in for our dream garden room, £44500 plus VAT. So that’s not happening. Really not sure how to move it forwards.

Wow that's a big amount. Worth getting quotes from a few other companies, sometimes just not being registered for one minor paperwork factor can cause a big increase. Also ask this company for a breakdown of costs and what can be altered to make it more affordable, there may well be a way forward

Last night’s and Sunday nights shifts have been cancelled due to no bookings. I really do think this might be the start of the end.
Managed to get the bits and bobs I needed yesterday. Currently got beef bu&&er off in the slow cooker.
The weather is very windy so hunkered down indoors. It took lots of swearing but the stove is finally lit, it’s been a real sod to light recently.
One of our daughter’s friends is expecting (another adopted child). She invited me to the baby shower but understood it was a long way. I’ve decided not to go nut as she’s coming here at the beginning of May I thought I might do a mini shower, afternoon tea sort of thing. DD1 thought it was a good idea need to run it past DD2. She’s been working nights doing night lambing and I think tonight’s her last one do probably catch up with her tomorrow.
DS2 is back on dry land but only until Wednesday when he’s off again. Luckily he can get to meet his new niece. It also means we can pinch his bed when we go down, otherwise it was looking like we might need to book a room somewhere.
They still haven’t decided on a name.

Whispers, we may have found what we’ve been looking for re the garden room. Trying not to get too excited.
The window to object about the fencing has closed. Looking at the comments, there are 5 objections so that should in theory mean it has to go before a committee for them to decide.
Once again it’s windy and I’ll be unable to get anything done outside. It’s getting a bit wearing now.
DD2 has finished lambing and is looking forward to her own bed. She liked the idea of a mini shower so need to try and get a few bits and bobs when we are down.
