Phase 1 of plastering started yesterday. DS2 also used the stone cutter to cut out the cement used to fix the hearth down. To say we have a little bit of dust would be an understatement!! I’ve messaged a painter but not had a response yet.DS2 has had a look at Gary Golf and ordered some parts, hoping they come before he leaves.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Gary Golf needs some more tlc. As DS2 was giving him a service one of the rear coils snapped and plopped at his feet. I’ll get those ordered when he comes in. Plasterer is back and doing the final fix, he’s also put the floor in. DS2 has been back to jewsons and got the correct size coving to go up. Just need the decorator to contact me. Plus lots of cleaning up!

All go!
Best wishes to Gary3 -
Talk about everything happening at once. Can you believe it that the decorator is going to start on Friday? Neighbour is in town tomorrow so she’s going y to I get me some tester pots and I’ll have to make a decision and buy the paint on Thursday.Spent the whole evening cleaning, borrowed neighbours Henry which has done a sterling job on the dust. Mopped everywhere I could. It will probably need doing again tomorrow. Still need to properly clean the windows and wood work. While the plasterer was here, I asked him to put some more sockets in the garage. He had a look and it’s doable.Going to get a quote for having Roman blinds made. I doubt there will be much change out of 1k so will have to save up for that.Messaged DS1s gf on Friday for any ideas what he’d like for his birthday. Still not replied…. Sigh

So yesterday was a very busy day. Booked an appointment to get the windows measured. I’ve asked them to quote for 3 options, basic roller blinds with a fancy trim, in window shutter thingys and roman blinds. They let me know the date. Dogs tablets collected from the vets, also neighbours dog tablets collected from a different vets. A piece of karndean purchased to cover the hole where the hearth was (it doesn’t match but won’t matter as the settee will cover it). Paint purchased, got the compost for the pots, which if the weather plays ball I’ll sort them out on Sunday. Quick Look round the garden centre and noted the price of rhubarb. Need to see what I’ve got left over pot wise before I get one. Lunch out with DS2, he leaves tomorrow (sob)
Had a quick tea then played badders. Also had to pay for the rest of the holiday. Put it on the cc to get points but have the cash saved to clear it.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Looks like the house is getting a real makeover. You won't recognise the place in a few weeks.
