Woke up at 5 and decided to stay in pjs for the rest of the night.Still waiting to find out when they’re coming to measure up for the blinds then we can decide what we’re having.Got the new council tax bill through. I’ve been looking into a potential new business, which sadly isn’t going to happen this year or the format I want. However there may be another route in, I’m just waiting to get some figures. The living room is nearly complete, need to hang some pictures and still waiting for the blind people to come out and give me some quotes.Had to go to Inverness, to have my trotter looked at. I’m going to get some new supportive insoles posted out. I need to buy some forefront shoes as they will help my gait. I’m going to wait until I get my insoles to make sure they’ll fit ok.Spent a small fortune in Dunelm on some new cushions for the living room. They do look good. This months credit card bill is a bit scary but does include the final payment for our holiday in June which has been saved up for.I have been given an exceedingly paltry pay rise which I’m not happy about, hence looking at business options. My new rota at the b&b has started this week. It does mean I get my weekends back but it’s going to take some getting used to.OH has managed to mend Gary Golf, good to get him back on the road and a lot cheaper to run.DS1 turned 30 yesterday. He’s just started lambing and I saw my first lamb up here today. It’s OHs birthday tomorrow, he’s getting his wedding ring resized and that’s his birthday present. We managed to get some drainage pipe off fb for a very reasonable price. We’d already priced it up at £200 but bought it for £25 and it’s better than the one we priced. That will be a summer job. We do need to do something with the drive as it’s getting washed away. The garage door man we got quotes off has gone very quiet and not replying to messages. It looks like it will be a job we’ll have to do ourselves. Possibly wait until DS2 comes up. Hopefully got someone to come and put more sockets in the garage which will help with the doors.Trying a new recipe on Sunday, slow cooked sweet and sour pork. Naughty next door neighbour is going to come for tea.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

I love new cushions. They definitely add the finishing touch to a room. MrBC really doesn't understand the joy of cushions.2

Ooh. I looked at some at Dunelm (online) but resisted. Enjoy yours.
Tbh I'm doubtful if pay rises for most people with the employers national insurance and minimum wage going up.

Work was interesting last night. We’ve got a large group of Americans staying with us. All 22 had a meal on Wednesday night, pre ordered so it wasn’t as manic as it sounds and went very well. On Thursday a couple were getting married and the reason they were all here. The bride had phoned to say she wanted to get married at the old man of Storr with the sun setting and an aurora in the background. Hmmmm. Thursday was awful weather wise. They hadn’t brought any wet weather gear so were running round getting bin bags to wear. The bride forgot her bouquet which meant boss lady zoomed off to get it and hadn’t organised a cake. Boss lady managed to supply one. As they left yesterday morning boss lady asked them if they’d arranged their evening meal. Oh don’t worry we’ll sort something…..
Well that something meant that just as we’d put everything away and were cleaning up, boss lady came in very apologetic and could we possibly cobble together 4 platters. We did but it was annoying!
It’s OHs birthday today. He’s gone to work. Got a plan to go and play with naughty next door neighbour. Weather is once again blooming awful, wet and blowing a hoolie! I really must get out of bed.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

So we did manage to play out yesterday. A local crofter had a beast killed so we bought some fillet and sirloin steaks. The mutts will be getting a treat as I got them some bones. They’ll have to wait till the weather fairs up this afternoon as they’re not having them in the house.Bought a ball of wool for 50p at a car boot sale and then went mad in the garden centre. They had terracotta pots half price. I bought a big one to grow raspberries in and 4 raspberry canes, another one for a house plant the needs re potting and a smaller one for the mint plant that jumped into my basket. Called in at the blind shop to arrange the measuring up as I hadn’t heard anything and now booked for 9th April.Waiting to hear from another friend if we’re doing something today, weather not great. The forecast for next week is looking a lot better.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Ran out of compost so the mint plant is still needing potting on. Didn’t go out with friend in the end but hoping to meet up on Saturday. Helped next door neighbour clip one of the ponies as he was getting a bit itchy. The forecast for the week looks great.Got the pictures hung up last night. Had a message off my nephew to say he’s going to be a dad in October. Very pleased and excited for them. They’re finding out what flavour they’re getting in May so I’ll hold off making a blanket until then. My other niece is due on Sunday.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013
